Just gone throught the whole thread Matt. Some top work there mate. Hows the install coming on.

Slowly mate...lol

The plan now is to pick the new fueling system up monday night and hopefully get the new fuel rail, injectors, fuel regulator and resistor pack fitted next weekend, i can then get the system primed, fill her up with anti freeze then go for the first start!

Then four days later put it on a transporter and drive it to afr for them to do there magic, hopefully after that i will then have a 500rwhp supra:)

When its back i will start on the install again, or possibly tommorrow as i cant do the fuel system!

You cant go wrong at AFR Matt. Ive had quite a bit of advice from Dude (John) over the last few days about my fueling setup. Hes a very knowlogable guy. Im sure theyll do the biz for you.

Yeah they seem like really sound helpfull guys, john seems like the guy who can make things work/happen, i was going with ryan for the mapping but i decided to change to matt now, afr have the workshop so they can sort out any problems/issues there and then, dare i say it, if there is any!

Im really looking forward to the day out, even if its a four hour drive!

I thought sod it im going to carry on with the music install today, the weather looked ok and i had nothing else to do......for once!

I decided after a few cups of tea and 10 fags, that i wanted to do a smaller install, the 4 infinity component speakers i fitted a while ago are really crisp and loud, but just lacking in bass.

I had plans for three amps two subs and two extra infinity 6x9's in the rear.

Thats now all gone out the window, after listening to the existing set up i really do only need a sub in the back to make it perfect, so i chopped the first bass bin in half and counter sunk it into the space inbetween the two old back seats.

The whole install is really light weight, i took loads of photos so people could see how i went about doing it.

I Just need to finish of the rear shelf tommorrow and wire up the amp and speakers and itd done;)

Enjoy!

  • 3 weeks later...

However at last i got my fuel rail brackets and new injector clips:)

So I fitted the fuel regulator and injectors and rail.

It took ages crimping the new inj clips, but im just happy to be finishing the car off!

Again it seems ive had a change of plan, even though im almost at the end of my build, i have last min decided to fit hks 264 cams in/ex to help me 100% get that 500rwhp.

Im also now fitting a progressive nos system for sprints etc.

The cams and nos are being done at afr hopefully next week, its too much for me to do on the drive.....lol

I didnt actually know this to start with but the fueling system i just fitted is from the old orange beast, its a PHR stage 1 fuel system which supports upto 700bhp so its plenty big enough for my set up.

I also got my wheels on sunday and tyres are here next week, im going to get the new wheels painted, not 100% on colour yet?

attachment.php?attachmentid=119412&d=1288125950

I will hopefully get the plenum and throttle body fitted thursday night and then its almost ready for afr, a few bits to finish off here and there but thats it really.

I really cant wait to hear the engine running now, im nervous to be honest:blink:

not long now.

cheers,

m.

Cheers Dan,

The bonnets spot on mate, a great fit, i was going to get it painted silver but now i have fitted the wheels im not going to bother, i really like the look of the bonnet and wheels being dark, looks mean!

I have some wide arch front carbon wings i was going to fit, but im not sure im going to bother with them either now, i just need to get the new brakes and disks fitted, but thats a job for the spring!

Dan U getting rid of the do luck spoiler then, i was thinking of getting a carbon tailgate with a gt low slung spoiler like ellis has on here, foookin awesome!

cheers bud!

Is that the one that looks like a smaller slung back stock one? If so, that is a VERY nice spoiler !! That would look great with the bonnet IMO. The Do-luck one is already sold pending payment mate, he got it for a steal i might add haha. I need it out of the way more than anything. I put the TRD one, just to see how it looks before comitting to spraying it, and tbh i'm completely in two minds now, it looked good, but de-spoilered just looked awsome. I'm going to give it another go when i get home and make my mind up. Bought a 2nd decat today as well, so i'll fit that when it arrives ready to be re-mapped after the snow goes away :D

yeah thats the one, ellis who has one fitted lives just down the road from me, best looking spoiler ive seen on a supra, over £500 delivered though plus painting costs, so not cheap!

Im really loving the de-spoilered look at the moment, looks good on white cars.

we will have to meet up next year and have a mini meet Dan.

Definately mate, i'll take a drive up your neck of the woods if you like and see if we can get a few of the other Lincoln guys involved. I want to check out this single of yours :eyebrows:. In the mean time, i'll settle for lots of photos :D Just checked, it is the spoiler i was thinking of, its stunning. One of those spoilers that really compliment the shape of the Supra's...arse i guess lol. Good choice mate. I'm looking at CF bonnets now :taped: Did you know you got your bonnet for less than the price of a replica !! lol.
