You must be one brave guy, was thinking of you whilst we were in the warm, dry pub watching the rain pouring down with all the thunder and lightning going on as well :drown: you must have thought you were in a nightclub with all the flashing lights

It was almost club like anyway, I have a video, but it's quite embarrassing.................and I was very drunk :D

Also thanks to karolina and L18msy for doing a excellent clean up job of the hotel breakfast area at gone 3am this morning!

No problem Lee.

I had a fantastic time and i couldn't ask for better weather that allowed all of Supra Members to squash up together in the "Beer garden" of The Priory. Thank You ALL for a brilliant time and especially thanks to ALL the Crazy Scottish Members, For the first time i wasn't the only foreginer who no one understands ;) Pictures to come tomorrow :D

Just wanted to say I had a great day, the week building up to this has really caught up with and my body is just aching now. After getting the engine and box swapped in by Thu, all day Fri I couldnt get a spark and get the car started. It wasnt until late Fri night at 21:00 that I managed to sort it and the car started for the first time, so it was a case of get the truck packed and loaded up ready.

Arrived at Pod on the Sat morning, still had to fit my crank pully wheel and then I was finally able to run her up to temp for the first time since swapping the engine.

Finally got out there in the some very damp conditions and was taking it easy on the car at first. That day was the first day that I felt like I have started to know my car, the previous very short runs have only ever felt like Im driving someone elses car, but with the extra lock I finally started to settle in her.

Bit disappointing AFR couldnt map the last bit ready for this, because Im sure the car would have felt even better, as again I kept fitting with the reduced rev limit of 5.2 rpm.

But John turned up on his bike, which was good to have someone from AFR, as AFR have never actually seen or experienced me drifting so it was good to take John out, hope you enjoyed it Dude ;)

It was also nice to catch up with Branners after a hard year, thanks for taking some time out. And it was good that you finally got to see the car and have a passenger ride, hope you enjoyed that too ;)

But unfortunately about half hour from the end, the car started to suffer the same fate as the previous engine, dropping a cylinder. So I need to have a closer look at the setup now and determine whats causing this and why.

But depsite that I had a great day, that has been the most I have drifted in one day since my accident last year with the Nissan, so after a year it was nice to start getting some seat time. It was good to see the usual faces and meet some new too.

Add me to the long list of people who had a great SupraPod 2010 despite the weather.

Real shame about the drag strip, but on the upside, Jimojameso may have had a lucky escape :p

I’m not usually to interested in drifting, but spent a fair few hours enjoying it, especially watching members (braver than me) having a go, hats off to you.

Great to meet some new and old faces, it was good to catch up with Scot & Jon and finally meet TJP and some of the Kent Crew, pleased you finished up at the nice warm, dry Ibis :)

Great to have a little cuddle with Tigger, still waiting for my invoice Lee, no matter what the charge, it was well worth the money.

The evening / night was great, can’t wait for the pics of “Genna & Vicky’s Massage Parlour” you two could earn a fortune (especially if you moved to Scotland) :D

Hope those that went to Japfest had a good day, sorry to cut & run, but had the opportunity of a bike ride-out with a young lady, which turned into the start of my first new relationship since Sue left a year ago - so for me a bloody brilliant weekend.

Gerry

PS. Paul... You don't know how lucky you are mate - get a ring on her finger before someone else pinches her ;)

Gerry I am presuming by that comment you mean he got out of cooking dinner Sat night :eyebrows: was really looking forward to the bbq with soggy buns :yummy: guessing the sausages and burgers are now re-frozen in preparation for next year ;)

No - I meant his total and utter humiliation on the strip against an old bloke with just a TT :p

The daytime wasn't great because the weather gave us a battering, but the evening was just brilliant.

I'm not sure what's the highlight for me. Drift_bear hitting himself in the face and drawing a lot of blood was pretty funny, Supraloopy's teletubby button dance was constant entertainment and Pig's escape attempt while we were all crowded around 'the hardcore table' was hilarious. "But it says push to open!" :D

Great to meet so many new faces, and to catch up with others. :)

I'm still on my way back now! Stayed the Sunday night too... Unfortunately the reason I'm on here and not watching the road is the fact I'm now sitting in the back of a recovery truck... :( fan shroud was loose and hit the fan snapping 2 blades off, so no biggy but still an unwanted surprise.. After specifying a low lift truck a normal one arrived and it was a bloody nightmare trying to get it on, almost ripped the diffuser off! Still around 4 hours till I'm home... :(

So here is the Pics of marcs car when it decided to eat the fan shroud and also eat 2 fins off the Fan.

The last 2 pics are of Olly pulling the off the rest of the Fan shroud, and in true scots fashion, getting a bumming off Monsween for his troubles. :D

Well not the day I was expecting, but still very good none the less. Thanks to everyone who braved the weather - getting wet at the gate would have been far less tolerable if no body had bothered to turn up!

It is a real shame about the drag racing, but unfortunately it takes up to two hours to dry the strip when soaking wet. The constant heavy downpours just made it impossible to keep the track dry enough for even a few goes. :(

Hopefully for those of you that stayed over for the nights socialising/drinking/banter it made up for the lack of track action. It was nice to see so many old faces and meet a few new members too.

Also thanks to karolina and L18msy for doing a excellent clean up job of the hotel breakfast area at gone 3am this morning! And also for L18msy taking the "drunk Scot" to bed. :D I've forgotten his name but people will know who I mean - the one I'm told had lost the drinking competition! :)

We will announce later what the situation is regarding any refunds.

Hopefully next year the weather will be better! :)

No probs Mawby glad i could help. I had a rare time and i will be putting an ad on the wanted section for a new liver. It was good to meet you all and hope to do it again sometime.
