On a TT Blitz, Apexi, K&N and HKS all claim between 13-14 hp if my memory serves me correctly

Agreed but for the sake of the test i'd do it with the bonnet shut or its simply a pointless test

Have a whip round and i'll pop my car on the rollers and back to back test the airbox against an Apexi dual cone induction kit

Toyota did a pretty good job in the first place so no need to mod it but the 2 cold air feeds are a must

Stock airbox with both cold air feeds is better than any induction kit even on a TT with FMIC

Yes the basic DOT 4 is fine. The higher spec SRF & RBF600 have a downside and need replacing sooner than normal DOT 4.

When was your brake fluid last changed ? Its hydroscopic so absorbs moisture which massively lowers its boiling point. I'd do a full vacuum flush and give the RBF 600 a try as its half the price of the SRF, i didn't have any issues with this at Silverstone on my last track day but it was fresh fluid.

Castrol SRF for the win with a 320 C dry boiling point and 270 C wet boiling point, but its very expensive at £50 a litre You could use a special DOT 4 that has a higher dry and wet boiling point than normal DOT4 Normal DOT 4 (265 C dry and 160 C wet) Special DOT 4 (312 C dry and 216 C wet) Motul RBF600 Factory line is a higher spec DOT4, i use this in my car. There is also Motul RBF660 which has 325 C dry and 204 C wet boiling point and is approx the same cost as Castrol SRF

Are you sure this is a H shaped pipe ? on my TT the two matrix pipes (inlet/outlet) are linked together with a plastic piece which is just to hold them apart and give them support Just to add the coolant system flows round a set path and to have a link between the inlet and outlet matrix pipes can only cause problems

I searched for a UK bonnet but could only find 2, i didn't get a reply about one of them on here and the other was too far away and little over budget

An auto tt supra in the snow sitting on 10" fronts and 11.5" rears is no fun
