  1. looks like good value - but then if all 4 premium tyres are shot, cam needs doing, and discs are about to go then...you need to check out the bargains from private sellers especially carefully.
  2. i dunno - if the cars well looked after and it looks smart i dont think you should give it away for less than 10.5k.

    mpg!

i just did 115 miles on clear M40 doing 85-90mph and seemed to get through 25+ litres of Optimax. this suggests im getting just over 20mpg. i have stereo on, internal neons, and heater/fan + head lights. i think mpg really tails off over 80mph.

    mpg!

hi, just wanted to know what you turbo soops get out of your soop when motorway cruising. i put around 20 litres of Esso enriched petrol in driving up the M40 last night, I already had about 15 in there according to my gauge (so I thought) - but arrived home after 115 with 5 left. Basically it looks like i chewed through about half a tank driving at 85-95 mph. on the way down to London (same 115 miles), I was driving at 80 mph and used only 18 litres (again, according to my gauges). I have a VVTi that has only a couple of engine mods. Ta, D
  17. check this out - what does everyone think? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Digital-H-U-D-SUPRA-GT4-MX5-R33-FTO-GTO-MR2-R34-EVO-GTI_W0QQitemZ8027634132QQcategoryZ43120QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Cheers, D
  18. lemme know if you find sommit...
  19. well the difference is - "sorry sir we wont insure you on that group vehicle" to "oh we'll insure you but hand over your left arm".
  20. okay havent read all this but ive phoned around all the so-called specialist import insurers. i'll tell you straight who talk the right language: 1) RAC Direct - these guys quote me 650 when the rest of the numptys come out with comedy quotes of 4500/5000 or no quote. i have SDP only with big xs. im 26 with no NCB (always a named driver). my dad is main driver with loadsa NCB. first 3 points are ignored cos they recognise we all got points these days and that doesnt make you dangerous. 2) elephant / admiral - competitive but couldnt match RAC and they get prissy about the mods I guess AA would take a similar approach to RAC.
  21. i'd set at least a weekend aside. jacking the thing up and taking the wheels off, and making it safe takes a bit of time. daylight goes against you by 330. get your axle stands ready and some wd40 - you may have to spray the bolts and leave em for a couple of hours at least. what helps is having a hollow steel tube to slide onto the end of the ratchet for extra leverage - works a treat!
  22. truth is she bought a 'genuine lambo 100% certified' lambo badge from a market trader in Tunisia...
  23. btw - a knackered top mount would make more of a thud over bumps rather than a creak i think.
