  1. Sorry if you know already dude but Matt Harwood is the man for alarms around here.
  2. Just done this - thanks Pete. Was actually thinking how cool it would be to have something klike that from this site - just didn't think it would be possible.
  3. Quotes of the day? Good call, just added that too. The one I added throws up a new quote eveytime igoogle loads - not just the one a day as expected. Other than that I have: local 5 day weather, BBC sport, Driving Directions, Calender, Date & Time, Wikeipedia search and Google news. All pretty handy - no doubt they'll change as I discover other cool things.
  4. Just discovered this, really cool tool to use as your homepage. I always had this site as my homepage but just switched to igoogle:innocent: It's really good, you can choose from hundreds of applications or links to be added to your homepage. Calenders, news feeds, local weather, sports news, route planners, maps, wikipedia search engine etc etc. Very handy. You can even change your theme too, check it out.
  5. Well my Laptop has finally packed up. As well as loads of minor problems I am now getting the problem detailed on this site. I too as mentioned in the thread don't have an XP cd. My XP came pre-loaded on the Laptop so I have no cd to boot Windows from. So I need a copy of XP to get the laptop booted up. Ideally a cheap version, if you know what I mean. The reason being that my disk drive is on it's last legs and wont always boot CD's. So even if I do get XP on a CD that might still not work... So if that's the case does anybody know of an online laptop repair company that I can send the laptop to for repair. PC World want a ahocking £120 just to look at it....
  6. This is very true! But they fetch the money they do for a reason and it's not because of how good it is. I can't think of many cars under £20k that would get as many admiring smiles as this car.
  7. Cool car, this one looks mint: Link
  8. It must be something like genetics, I'm sure I read somewhere that you're more likely to be an alcoholic if your parents were. Over the years I've done pretty much most things you'd associate with addiction but never became addicted. Friends I grew up with leading the exact same lifestyle can't say the same. After a hard break up with my ex I went out every night for two years straight re-living my youth. My parents sat me down at least 3 times with their concerns over my drinking and lifestyle, they were conviced I'd be an alcoholic. I just needed a new girlfriend and knew it! They realise that now. I know I don't have an addictive personality, I can take or leave pretty much every vice there is.
  9. Thanks for the comments guys, I was convinced there was something wrong. We use LPG to power our stoves and fires so again this just makes this more ridiculous. We do have a rather large house - just counted and we have 23 radiators and 100 Sq/M of underflor heating. Not all the radiators are on mind and we've stopped using the underfloor heating to keep the costs down. Even so it's still a lot! Our boiler is 2 years old but it hasn't been serviced yet. I'll look into it I think. Also, we have a large water pressure tank which the boiler has to heat up, we needed this tank as prssure was too low to feed all the central heating. Maybe heating this thing up takes some doing?
  10. I know Heating Oil is basically diesel so obviously it's gone up - think we paid about 39p per litre (+ vat) for 2000 litres at the end of Nov. It's about to run out. We don't have a gas mains in our street so that's not an option. We were advised Oil was cheaper than LPG so opted for that when we moved in. But it's just so damn expensive, something must be wrong. We def don't have any leaks....
  11. We do at our house, we've lived here about two years. The things i it's turning out to be very very expensive. We have used over £800 worth of oil since the end over November. That's about £100 a week on heating. We only have it on a couple hours in the morning and a couple hours at night to heat the CH and hot water. Does this sound right? We do have a large home....
  12. Just use a 3 and 1 mix (3 shovels of Ballast for every 1 shovel of cement) Just add very little water if you like to help it mix. A 'stiffer' mix the better imo.
  13. Yeah - played by Pete Postlethwaite(sp) Keyser Soze! What a movie! 'The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist'
  14. Yeah have a go yourself mate, it's not difficult tbh. I'd def use a dry mix in this weather though, just compact it around the posts and it'll go off within 24 hrs. Getting a post to set level in a wet mix will be a PITA.
  15. Gravel boards are better as the actual fence panel is up off the ground. This way the panel won't get wet on the ground and rot. Yeah you need to concrete the posts in too. I just use a dry (or slightly damp) cement/sand & gravel mix.
  16. Personally I've never had any trouble with concrete posts, I'm a builder and always use these. Our house is in a very exposed place, we're up on a hill surrounded by fields and a lake. We get wind worse than anyone else around here, it'll knock you off your feet. We have fencing with concrete posts all around our house, which I put in. None of these have broke. IIRC, 8ft posts are about £7.50, gravel boards about £5 and the 5ft fence panels about £10.
  17. Me too dude, but that's no big deal for me. Pretty much eveyone I've been with has that accent! anyway
  18. Yep it is, sounds terrible!
  19. Lovely dog! I cried at Turner & Hooch too when I was a kid! Bet your auntie will be minted - how much they fetching now? About £800 a pup?
  20. A girl I grew up with had a fear of Ketchup! Seriously! She was petrified of it being near her.She even went on Vanessa's chat show when we were all about 15 to talk about it. Naturally as teenagers we chased her with it all the time! I remember the TV show well, it was the first time I realsied how bad our Black Country accent sounded on the TV.
  21. Cheers dude, that sounds like the one. I'll get it ordered!
  22. Captain C - have you measured that battery by any chance? The BST 38 was the one that looked a closest fit - but was unsure on the dimensions...
  23. This has turned out to be a major PITA. Too long a story to explain but my Mom doesn't have a battery for her K770i. I've ordered 3 batteries now off the net and all three don't fit. The Sony website says the K770i takes a BST-37 and so everyone keeps sending me that battery. But it doesn't fit! As you can see here If anyone has this phone could you please tell me what battery model you have in your phone? I need one 40mm x 42mm but I can't find one that size anywhere!!
  24. Mine is still for sale - rubbish time of year to be selling! Open to offers... MY TT
  25. It's in Wolverhampton, West Mids. Not sure how far from you that is, either way I'm sure these kind of colleges where you pay are all over the country.
