  1. Hi, Now, i ve noticed that my NA-TT swap is not boosting properly and surely there is no kick from the second turbo. I have never driven a TT b fore so do not know how they are supposed to feel. THe car has great torque in lower revs but has no power in higher rpm's. Just going to get a boost gauge fitted today and will be checking all the vaccum lines. Recently i replaced the IACV vsv and the EGBV vsv. Is there any particular way that i can test the EGBV and the IACV actuators. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers adi
  2. I think if you are planning to add some more oil then it might be best not to mix and just change the whole thing. Just my opinion
  3. the S2000 has very average torque. I think 150 ftlb when the NA supra has 210 ftlb
  4. mate, if you are sooo paranoid, why dont u just post up some pics of your headlights.
  5. Oh ok. thanks for that mate!
  6. No Alex. I bought a USED LSD but just want to make sure that its not from the NA because of the different ratios *EDIT*- Alex, do u mean to the code on the LSD itselft on the code on the VIN that states the model of the LSD??? cheers
  7. Hi, Does anyone know how to tell the difference between a 6spd TT's LSD and the 6spd (NA) VVTI's LSD. Cheers adi
  8. I could but the part was directly shipped to India (thats where my car is). This is not the first time it got messed up. Basically i bought all the parts for a 5spd to 6spd swap including 6spd box etc etc. the first time i ended up with all the parts except that only half of the drive shaft was there and the clutch pressure plate was missing. Then after a million and one phone calls i got them to send me the front half of the driveshaft and pressure plate only to realise that the front half of the drive shaft that they sent me belongs to a 5spd. No point in me trying to get the parts again because i m the one paying international shipping, and who knows i might end up with a Auto's drive shaft next time. Just going straight to Curt Aiger, atleast if Mr. T charges a lot they send the right parts!!!
  9. Its OK mate. Just confirmed that it is a 5spd driveshaft, Although i had asked for a 6spd driveshaft. Oh well, what can i say, I'm just dissappointed. I did not expect this from JPS, made me think twice about buying used parts from traders next time.
  10. I got some parts from JPS recently and the picture below is supposed to be the front half of the driveshaft for the 6spd transmission, but to me it looks like the driveshaft from a 5spd. Can anyone confirm that it is a 6spd driveshaft???
  11. a bit of a but what are the differences between a Jspec NA and a Export spec NA???
  12. I think I've confused you'll. Basically i bought a used TT engine and have no information about the car it came from. at mkiv.co.nz it only says how to find out year of production from the chasis #. So i take it that i wont be able to find out the year of manufacture of the engine i bought
  13. I think that thread is about frame #. Isnt there any way to tell the year if you just have the engine???
  14. No problem!!! Cheers for that mate.
  15. No mate!!! but is there any way to tell the year of manufacture of the engine from any codes on the engine itself???
  16. No mate. I ve already done my NA-TT swap with the engine
  17. Hi all, Well i am just curious to know what year of manufacture the 2JZGTE engine i bought was. Is there anyway to tell from the #'s the engine # that was on the block was the following 0125286. Cheers
  18. Mate, i should be askin myself that now
  19. Good luck with it mate!!! I m sure people will be happy to help. Cheers
  20. May be the whole thing was just to get some Attention
  21. Like Chris said tapping in a flange to support the oil return line is very simple. Infact when i did my NA-TT swap i used the NA's oil pan on the TT engine (because the TT engine was off an Aristo) and just fitted a flange to accept the oil return line.
  22. On a dry kit, you can't increase a great deal of power because there is no additional fuel nozzle included. It relies on your existing fuel injectors and basically you would need to run a little rich for it to help. A wet kit comes with nitrous and fuel fittings and thus does not depend on the existing fuel setup and hence you can increase a lot more power. It is safer as well
  23. Damn!!! that is some deal
  24. Dont worry about injector size mate. Just make sure that if you do get a nitrous kit it is a 'wet kit' and NOT a 'dry kit'.
