  1. I realise that the J-spec Supra and the Euro/US spec supra's have different part #'s for the main O2 sensor, but would there be a significant difference except may be the bolting patterns??? Can anyone in the UK source J-spec O2 sensors??? CHeers
  2. Ian thanks for the reply!!! I just managed to fix it and it appears to be because of loose wiring loom connectors near the ECU. Is it possible to get a refurbishing kit for the connectors by any chance? Cheers!!!
  3. I am getting the error codes 14 and 31 on my J-spec Supra (OBD-1). But the error code 31 means a fault with the Mass air flow meter or circuit, but the J-spec doesnt have the Mass air flow sensor. So what does it supposed to mean. What should i check for the error code 14. thanks
  4. Just yesterday i fixed my idling issue, I figured out that the idling issue was due to a fault in the Idle Air control valve connection. But now my car sounds very lumpy and the performance is also poor. Anyways, now yesterday while we were swapping the ECU (to make sure the idling issue was not due to an ECU malfunction) we found that the RED/Yellow wire in the loom near the ECU was cut, so we connected that line back and started the car and it sounded real lumpy. I later found out that the RED/Yellow wire is the one going to the 2nd Injector from the ECU. I really have no clue what could have gone wrong??? The engine now sounds lumpy like a V8. Any help would be great. Oh and i did an error code check and nothing came up. Cheers
  5. Hi, Just have a question on the IAC valve diagram. If you scroll down to the second page under 'Inspect IAC valve resistance' it talks about terminals 131 (or 132). Where exactly are those terminals because the IAC valve doesnt have any terminals labelled 131 or 132 ??? Cheers idleairc.pdf
  6. Ya it does smell of smoke, well i think it would be fair to say it was slightly blueish in color. When i posted the previous thread i thought that it might just be due to the fact that the engine was not used for a long time but the problem has persisted since.
  7. Hi, I am getting some white smoke on cold start up. it just lasts very briefly but it is smoke and not stem. WHat should i look out for??? Cheers
  8. Back to topic! Now does that mean that i cannot use the EUro spec TT's main O2 sensor on the J-spec car???
  9. Thanks for the reply. Well what i need to know is that whether a faulty O2 sensor can cause the kind of idling issue i described. Cheers
  10. Can anyone confirm that the part # 89465-19605 is the # for a J-spec supra's Main O2 sensor??? Cheers
  11. Do the UK spec and J-spec cars have the same Main O2 sensors?
  12. Looked for the vaccum diagram but could'nt find it. or is it just me???
  13. I ve been having some serious problems with my idling after the NA-TT swap. The rpm keeps fluctuating about 300 rpm above normal and each cycle takes about 1 second. I ve checked for error codes and the only one i got was code # 21, so that seems to be due to a fault in the main O2 sensor wiring. Can a problem with the O2 sensor cause an idling problem like this??? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!! Cheers adi
  14. Anyone know where i can get the complete vaccum diagram for the TT??? cheers
  15. Thanks for all your responses I just got around to checking the error codes and i got code # 21, I think this is supposed to indicated some problem with the Main Oxygen sensor signal. So what should i do now??? Error code details (second pic from the left) http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=35920&highlight=error+codes
  16. Changed some of the vaccum lines today and set up the car in TTC mode and it is boosting to 10 psi. Found one boost leak so far but i am sure there are at least a couple more. Looks like i will be able to get the boost thing sorted out!!! Cheers for all your help I am still having idling problems though: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=42163
  17. I havent connected the sub-throttle to the wiring loom due to the above reason and my car does not idle properly. It keeps fluctuating about 300rpm up and down and each cycle takes approx 1 second, so its kinda worrying me. I m not sure whether this is happening because the sub-throttle isnt connected
  18. Thanks for that Jake!!! Is there any problem with removing it though??? I am asking this because in my NA-TT swap, the wiring loom only has 4 wires that connect to the connector but the sub-throttle has 6 wires.
  19. Just to clarify, can you pull the wire from the sub-throttle in a J-spec car to disable the traction control system or does this only apply for UK/US spec cars.
  20. Yes, I do have a FMIC. probably will try doing the boost leak test tomorrow.
  21. Just finished fitting my boost gauge today. I'm getting a maximum of 7psi and and in higher revs the boost starts to drop to about 4psi.
  22. I can hear the 1st turbo spool and right then there is a lot of torque that kicks in. i cant hear the 2nd turbo kicking in later on and the torque just dies in higher revs.
