    Wastegate

I m just about to buy a 44mm Tial wastegate from my US supplier for 324$. There is an XS power 50mm wastegate selling in ebay for 72$ shipped to US (friend is coming over in 2 weeks so not a problem) so basically I save 252$ if i buy the XS wastegate. Just before I buy the XS power wastegate, in your opinion, is this a good choice or should I just shell out the extra and get a TIAL??? I know there are many discussions on this but I just want to be sure. Cheers
  2. No, back in India the law doesnt permit the import of LHD vehicles. Kinda sad really, some of the american cars are pretty good for what they cost. Doesnt the UK have any restrictions on LHD cars?
  3. Do any of these cars: the new Corvette, Mustang, Viper, come in a RHD version at all or are they only made for the US domestic market???
  4. Honestly I couldnt care less. A tenner is no big deal for the knowledge I get out of it. Also, remember that by paying, we members are indirectly balancing the influence the sponsor's have on the forum. I m not sure about your australian forum, but I have certainly seen this happen more than once on supraforums.com. An instance where a forum member was banned for doing an indepth writeup of the ebay (XS power) turbo kits.
  5. Looking great! when are u expecting to have it all done by?
  6. How much difference is there between the T61 and T67 turbo's. Spooling, streetability, Max achievable power (safely), etc. etc. ??? anyone???
  7. Which kit are you running, any specs on your kit would be nice? Cheers
  8. XS power wastegate working fine??? did u have to do any modification on it?
  9. Bit off topic mate, but what exactly happened to your HID kit??? was it from visionbulbs.com???
  10. I m in the process of overhauling the suspension, brakes etc. on my car and just had a thought of putting in a new shortblock sometime in the future. Is it necessary to get a shortblock blueprinted when bought new from toyota??? Has anyone actually had problems with the new shortblock??? My engine runs fine now, compression figures were all more or less even across the 6 cylinders BUT at the end of it, its an engine I got a hold of to do my TT swap and I dont have any history of the engine so basically just thought of doing it for peace of mind and future proofing. Cheers
  11. What this on about, found this line on thenew-zealand forum (under 'SPECS'), Is this true about the Aristo 2JZGTE's having different shafts???
  12. Can anyone actually confirm this, because I d like to be sure before I buy the parts? in Jspec TT terms, that woud equate to the emanage controlling 880cc injectors?
  13. Just want to clarify, would the EMU be able to control 650cc injectors on the 2JZGE engine which has got 330cc (I think) injectors as stock??? Cheers
  14. Hi, Does anyone have any experience with Precision turbo's? I might be getting a good deal on them so was thinking of getting a PT61 turbo. Any ideas on them??? Cheers Adi
  15. Ya I completely agree with Ian. You wouldnt really want to skimp on a fuel pump.
  16. NA manual is quoted at 6.6sec 0-60. So in reality the average driver probably would be able to get a 0-60 time in the high 6's to low 7's
  17. Hi, I ve got 2 1/2 sets left (10 studs). Thats what I meant by £20 per set.
  18. Sorry, forgot to mention the price. Its £20 per set (4 studs)
  19. Guys the electric motor that does the front to back adjustment has stopped working. Anyone know if a LHD car's motor would fit in our RHD cars? Thanks in advance
  20. This is a set of 4 output shaft studs that go on the Getrag V160/161 's output shaft flange. These are not sold by Toyota and neither can they be bought from aftermarket suppliers as they are not made. Toyota only sells the entire output shaft (which includes the studs) which is roughly 120 quid. These studs have been custom made with the exact metallurgy as the original ones. I got some made as the gearbox I bought came with one missing stud and the other 3 were partly damaged (see picture 1).
  21. The slave cyl is different. One is a push type and the other is a pull type.
  22. Do you mean the Emanage's pressure sensor mate?
  23. Just to clarify. Is there anyone running an emanage blue or ultimate to control their NA-T upgrade? I ve been trying to find out whether it is even possible as NA's in the UK are JDM and all of them run MAP sensors which probably wouldnt be able to read positive boost???
  24. The TT's is bigger. But I have heard someone saying that the difference between using the NA's master cyl. and the TT's master cyl. was not very significant. But it would be good if someone could confirm this
