  1. Just found this when searching for jumper settings, did you manage to sort this ?
  2. Just got my EMU through from Nic:) just wondering how you have your ignition signal output set JP8 5V or 12V had my blue on 12V
  3. I have just bought a Sony Bravia, and its very good:) but a bit larger than 26" around 40" to be precise.
  4. Clean really well with spirit wipe and you could try the hair spray trick, or spray adhesive;)
  5. Faulty ECU coolant temp sensor or air temp sensors can cause this sort of problem but it usually results in rich AFRs, but worth a check.
  6. Yes it can be done quite easily, the SXOC have had a PDF mag for some time, members contribute articles tech or otherwise, and its then compiled and is accessed via the club members page, my wife prints up a small limited number magazine for her local breast cancer group, but before anyone asks, i don't think she would be interested somehow;)
  7. Fair comment Paul, but speaking for myself and i think a lot of other people, but i prefer a PM or email to get a feel for how a trader comes over, if they advertise their business via a club website then i think they should have some commitment to those people, after all it is a captive audience, and if handled correctly works very very well! as i have seen on other club forums;)
  8. Personally i wouldn't call the passenger seat any more heavy than some Recaro seats that i had fitted to another car of mime, i think if you want light weight seats then you need to go for racing type buckets, but then i don't find that type very comfortable, so for the sake of a few pounds i chose comfort and a happy back;)
  9. Unfortunately not:( by the time i had got the sliders and subframes on theres not a lot of difference, lighter than the drivers electric unit but about the same as the passenger seat, oh well they look good.
  10. Probably not the right thread for it, but as its a trader dig, I'm going to chuck in my two penneth;) when i first got my Supra and started enquiring about parts and prices on here and mainly through PM but i did send some of emails, i only got replies from two of the traders on here! so they are the ones i have used!
  11. Finished them last week but forgot to put a pic up, used Cobeau sliders and welded up some subframes, they are pretty comfortable for sport seats, and hold you in well should you wish to indulge in some spirited cornering;) http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid210/p4086919f5df6635463595a0ebccb9cec/edb894cf.jpg
  12. What dealer has it? not a silver one with Volk alloys is it?
  13. With a square bore and stroke of 86mm x 86mm you can hardly call it not long stroke, and as i have said before, it seems daft that it won't rev, unless the std dynamic balancing leaves a lot to be desired, the rest is in place, twin cams and solid lifters etc.
  14. You misunderstand John, there is a feature on the EMU that will allow you to fudge the signal and force the ECU into open loop earlier, especially so you can add fuel, that was my point in trying to find exactly what had what effect on std ECU operation, if i know the exact parameters it will make things a bit essayer.
  15. Well i'm about for this one but unfortunately not sure due to a few things, if i can shake off this stinking cold/man flu;) that i have just come down with, the weather and if i have got/fitted my EMU etc.
  16. Ian have you used the EMU feature to force open loop? or do you feel its unnecessary? i am actually going to be removing some fuel in open loop but will need to add some in closed loop as the boost rises, hence trying to get as much info on what forces open loop normally, i would still very much like to see the std maps thought, suppose i should save myself the hassle and just get PFC or similar, but don't want to end up spending loads at the moment;)
  17. Yeah i travelled to Newcastle from Sussex for mine, could have done the whole trip in a day if i had chosen to, and believe me if i could afford it i would have bought this car by now;)
  18. So has anyone got ROM maps from the ECU? as i said i would be interested to see just what else will force the ECU to go open loop besides just RPM, most other ECUs use air temp or water temp and also TPS and boost, have any of the US guys managed to pull the std fuelling and timing maps from a J spec TT.
  19. Hmm, seems a bit daft to me that Toyota would go to the trouble of having a boost cut in case the injectors can't keep up, but not have some kind of open loop enrichening, should say a VSV fail and the system go into TTC mode;) if the factory fuel mapping is happy seeing 0.7-0.8 bar before 4,000 rpm then the timing must be quite conservative below 4.000 rpm.
  20. Yeah my car is fine now mate:) just waiting for EMU so i can get the fuelling spot on, i think the only way to be sure about det is to make yourself a set of det cans, and have a good listen, i do know that some of those devices are a bit over sensitive and do pick up other noise, especially valve noise, my Power FC used to see silly det readings on the S14 but i could never verify this with det cans, and it never went bang, but don't take any risks until you have a proper listen mate.
  21. Just a thought Matt, not having used the SAFC 2, but i presume it picks up one of the knock sensor feeds as it enters the ECU? are you sure you have the right wire? as a lot of those devices will register even if they are seeing a voltage rather than a frequency.
  22. Did a search, but couldn't turn up anything, has nobody managed to read the std maps?
  23. I think i have read that the TT ECU comes out of closed loop at 4,000 RPM ? but there also must be a boost setting at which it comes out of closed loop regardless of RPM, anyone know?
  24. More cat facts, Cats sweat through their pads/feet, when a cat looks at you and squints its eyes, its a greeting, but also in cat language it a submission/placation.
  25. Very true, mine are around 110C on boost and thats not in these temps.
