Soarers also have crap lights (and no "UK" upgrade). I haven't tried them yet, but PIAA bulbs are a popular mod for our cars. Expensive, but a lot cheaper than HIDs.

Even with the adjustable gears, you can't change the cam duration. You can change the lobe centres and the overlap.

Just a thought .... A member of the Australian Soarer Club who had problems with the HKS cam gears (snapped belt) had some made using the Toyota gears. I know of a TT and several V8 Soarers running LPG. I think there was a 3-litre on LPG (same engine as the N/A Supra) a few years ago, but I don't know what happened to it.
