  1. Pretty sure 16" wheels won't clear UK brakes, but don't just take my word for it.... Oh yeah, are the alloys kerbed at all, and how much tread is there on the tyres?

    Newbie

Yes, welcome to the club. I can vouch for the bullet-proof -ness of NAs.
  3. What did the poor guy do - said that his car was faster than your bike? :D
  4. 86 posts in about 2 days! TWT is certainly getting her money's-worth out of us! PS has anyone actually given you a ride in their supe? As a passenger I mean, not as a .... er, right.
  5. Yes, remove the nut that's on the outside surface of the bodywork. Turn radio on, and be prepared to catch the mast when it gets ejected out of the motor unit. Remove the motor unit from inside the car, open it up and remove any bits of the old toothed belt that might be around. Refit motor unit, turn on radio and push toothed belt on new mast into the hole (oo-er!). When I did mine, I think I found that the Toyota manual gets it wrong when it tells you whether the teeth should be facing the front or the back of the car. Best thing to do is to study the motor mechanism when it's off the car. You should be bale to figure it out from that. HTH
  6. Damn.... this gets better and better!!! I dunno why, but I'm reminded of that Bond film where the bad girl crushes blokes with her thighs....
  7. Wow! How do you manage to have one of those AND hang on to the bike at the same time??!
  8. Sorry to hear that. This happened to my g/f a couple of weeks ago. Turned up Monday morning, "sorry, you're a good person but we don't have a job for you anymore. Bye." Like Ark said, what are your skills? Any languages like C++, C#? Where abouts in Hants are you thinking of, or not fussed at this stage?
  9. Yeah, the suspense is killing me!!! I'll even supply the loaf if money's a bit tight. It'll have to be Asda own-brand white medium though, 'cos I'm skint too. Just ask if you need someone to hold it for you....
  10. Hello Rob! What SonicSoop says, really. Personally, I would go for a well looked after TT. I reckon a bad (i.e. neglected or bodged) Single T is much worse to own than a bad TT.
  11. Hey, you've been looking. Whatever anyone's told you about the size of mine, it's not true.... I think.
  12. It's refreshing to talk to a biker, and it not turn into an argument settled by the size of our dicks.
  13. Racing sounds good! Do you compete yourself? So what bike forum are you a member of?
  14. I s'pose Basingstoke is too far for you to come, is it? There's a meet happening soon (15th I think). Should be a big turn-out. If not, there's bound to be meets nearer where you live. I'm sure you could use your feminine charms to wangle a ride in someone's beast!
  15. Damn PS how come all your text is green? I've been posting on here for ages, and I don't know how to do that!
  16. Male (driver) wanting a ride on a bike. ... I've never been on one, ever.
  17. Welcome to the forum TWT. Sorry, I'm too far away from Lincoln to give you a ride... and I've only got a non-turbo supra anyway!
  18. Just did a search on the forum for lap dance, and came up with this thread. Oh well, whilst I'm here I'll say a big hello to the newbie girls, lara and GirlRacer.
  19. Thanks Ben, By coincidence, I think I might have bought the replacement cushions from you (ages ago, mind!). How do you take the seats out of the car as a complete unit? The adjustment knob I'm referring to is the seat height adjustment.
  20. Bump: anyone out there who's replaced the front seats on their supra?

This is a bit random: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2006/08/30/disqualification_shame/ This is work safe. It is from The Register after all (unofficial IT person's newspaper), but if you're VERY sensitive about that sort of thing, have a look at home. I think it should be a sport at the London Olympics.
  23. I agree. I'm glad that it works for you Dave, but I can't see how! I think the ECU, PPS, cruise control etc is all "downstream" from the wire that comes out of pin 6 (the pink wire in the diagrams), but this wire is left floating. I haven't found the circuit diagram at home that confirms the input/output pins of the odo plug: will have a look in the next couple of days, but I'm pretty sure that I'm right about pins 5 and 6.
