  1. Wasn't able to Xbox yesterday. Will probably try after the football tonight if anyone's around. Sorry Kai_Sup don't have NFSMW (yet) - is it any good? J
  2. Some help please; After the bash in the back I had last summer, my exhaust is blowing where the turbo downpipe meets the exhaust system. Basically one of the studs has been caused to snap off from the force of the impact, but the insurance co will not pay for the work. Their 'expert' with 20 years experience claims that this is a mechanical failure due to the age of the car and is in no way related to the great force, which caused the mid pipe to buckle, imparting a great stress to the exhaust/turbo system!!! I now need to get this sorted myself and was wondering what I would expect the labour effort to be and exactly what work would need to be undertaken and what spare parts may be needed. many thanks for any replies J
  3. Cool, I'll add you in. Anyone around tomorrow evening? J
  4. OK, So we've got (from this and a previous post I found) JAYMDEE Visionary eX Markie Parkie S7EVE Mac JOHNI3OY Any others out there?? J
  5. Right then, Who's pissed off with all the kiddies playing Bumper Cars in PGR3? :thumbdown I know a few members here have exchanged gamertags so people know who to add to their 'friends', but how about having a sticky or something (in Members chat perhaps) so those who wish can post their gamertags ? Also, anyone got views on setting up a regular time for online race sessions. Just a bit of fun and nothing too serious & competitive (I would say this as I'm not too good - managed 126 in league 102 the other day!!) Gamertag: JayMDee J

    I'm a dad...!

    Congrats mate!! J
  7. Yeah I know what you mean. I was lucky that the guy who went in the back of me was a taxi driver with a fare and he said "it was all my fault" so no chance he could then claim it wasn't. Didn't even have to pay the excess. The problem I've got now is that my exhaust was pushed into the Turbos and a stud snapped which is now blowing. The Ins Co (Ensign/Claimtec) have said that this is due to "mechanical failure caused by the car's age" what a load of Bollox!!! Spoke to Scott @ Sky (on my side) who phoned them but the old git there said he had 20 years experience etc etc I'd like to kow how many cars he's had manifold studs just snap off while driving them!! J
  8. Sorry, I was referring to the 'twin tables' part of the description J ... I'll get me coat
  9. Could be wrong, but your indicators are only an INDICATION that you MAY turn, does not constitute a contract between you and anyone who may see this that you definately WILL turn. It's up to them to make sure the way is clear before pulling out. She's at fault if she hit you Sorry to read this James. Mine took 2 months to sort out (June - August last year) and I'm still having problems which the Insurance Co won't pay for :thumbdown (although Sky have been good, just the other insurance co wriggling out of it) J
  10. This Skyline has 511 BHP.. (1st one on page) http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/WWW/cars_search.asp?modelexact=1&lid=search_used_cars_full&make=NISSAN&model=SKYLINE&variant=&keywords=middlehurst&min_pr=75&max_pr=&mileage=&agerange=&postcode=ba1+2sx&miles=1500&max_records=50&source=0&photo=1&sort=3&ukcarsearch_full=SEARCH Must be where the owner has upgraded the Twin Turbos to Twin Tables... LOL!! J
  11. I'm surprised that they do a 'classic' policy where you don't need a daily driver. I've got a second car on a classic policy and I need to have the Supra on a normal policy. This is the same for all other classic policies I looked at (not inc Lancaster though). The reason being that you only drive it a percentage of the time, eg 5000 miles and only upto 2 days a week commuting to work. You don't get 3rd party insurance for other vehicles as you will already have that on your main car. Mine's up soon, so I'll give them a ring J
  12. Was looking nice and shiny (good effort considering the roads at the moment) turning into Golf Course Lane / Airbus site in Filton at 9:35 this morning. Any takers? J
  13. Not seen it myself, but one of my mates said that 'Blessed' (a comedy on BBC1) was so shit he looked for reviews on the net and found this one: http://tviscrying.com/2005/11/01/blessed-bbc1-friday/ Bloody funny:D Just love the opening line J
  14. Well, Ordered from local parts place (£21), installed today. Got a shock when I removed the old one, as it appears to have been eaten by small rodent!! pic attached J
  15. Cheers John, I do have an apexi cone, but took it off ages ago (only had it fitted for a week) as I felt the standard was much better pick up and obviously better filtration. just wondering about the replacement panel filters. Probably just get one from Toyota (how much are they) J
  16. I need a new air filter (for the stock box) and am unsure whether it's worth getting an aftermarket one or not. Can anyone recommend a TRD or Blitz over the normal Toyota one? Also, anyone got one which can be sent out ASAP? cheers J
  17. Katie, Unfortunately I'm still at work finishing something off and can't get away. Was hoping to get along tonight, but doubt I'll be there. J

Hi mate, You probably need the hole in the restrictor ring enlarging by a few mm. J:)
  19. L-reg spotted on the roundabout by Longwell Green Cinema Complex at about 6:50 this evening going off toward Hanham. Any Takers? J
  20. Soo, Will hopefully be able to get there, as I'm not working (unless calld in ) next Tuesday J
  21. Ha HA!! That was me too Decided I'd take the Supe for a spin this morning, as the ice has gone. I know what you mean about that bypass. The Grale lights are worse (!!!) than the Supra, couldn't see sh*t trying to catch up with you (in truth it was a little scary). Never too sure about the as I've done it before and all I got back was a condescending glance from the 'older' gentleman and his wife. to them for having the Supra though. J
  22. First up, Red L-reg spotted between Bath & Peasedown St John in village of Dunkerton at about 13:40 today. I was in my Integrale (see avatar) on my way back form looking at the new premises the local garage I use is moving to. Second: Silver supra with 'supra' number plate on the Keynsham Bypass at 18:20. Again in the Grale. I spotted some familiar looking headlights behind as we came off the roundabout, shortly followed by a familiar shape as you pulled out to go past. Good see how quickly a Supra can just take off though:D I gave a half hearted chase, but having only just started the car 2 mins earlier I was being carefull to get some heat in the oil and then only boost to 0.5Bar. J:)
  23. Single Turbo, 1.4bar, is ideal at the mo!! Oh.. did I add the permanent 4-wheel drive? Integrale for me in these conditions:) J
  24. Me too mate, really sorry to read this :thumbdown . I was well sore when I thought mine was lost earlier in the year . Hope they can prove she was in the middle of a texting conversation so there's no question over fault (surely this is a criminal offence) J
  25. IIRC, there was a question on mine which went something along the lines of "Are you, or have you ever been, a terrorist planning to overthrow Her Majesties Government?" WTF J
