    A small win

£10 on the following came off: Arsenal to beat Wigan Bolton to beat B'ham West Ham to beat Spurs Man U to beat Charlton Aston Villa to beat Sunderland won £100 plus my £10 back. Goes towards getting aircon fixed J
  4. Sorry Ark, didn't get any takers from SW for a convoy down and found out on Friday that my Aircon is bust and I need to save at least £500 to get it fixed Hope you guys have a great day, weather looks good, would have been fun J
  5. Mate, Hose 1 is the output from the VSV back into the intake. Putting it here will do nothing. You really need to put it between the turbo & the actuator (not shown in pic). This is short hose above the actuator. I suppose putting it in Hose 2 will be ok as the VSV shuts when Turbo 2 operates so this hose is pressurised, therefore bleeding air off will still reduce the pressure on the actuator. J
  6. Whilst searching on here a few days ago I found a post with some links to some exploded system diagrams showing the Air Con System. Obviously now I actually want them, I can't bloody find them!! Can someone please post up either pics or links? cheers J
  7. Hi, Does anyone know if MKIVStore are actually open on Saturday's, as I want to pop up there for them to look at my Air Con. cheers J

    Bleed valve?

Hi mate, I had exactly this and found that the diameter of the hole in the Restrictor ring needed to be enlarged by 6mm (ie 3mm filed off all the way round). This gave me 1.2Bar. Garage charged me £20 J
  9. Simon, Just been reading through this (and still at work, shows how dedicated and interested I was!!). Mucho to you for this. If I ever go single I'm just taking it to a professional as I would well & truly bugger it up. Hope to see (and hear!) it in the near future. J
  10. Anyone else from the South West thinking of going on the meet being organised here: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=64746 I may well go, as if the weathers nice it would be a good run down. Could get a mini convoy going... J
  11. Just seen this. Am I right that this is Sunday 7th May (ie this Sunday), 2PM at Rownham's Services just off M27. and we will be travelling East on the route as marked ending up at Fishers Pond?? cheers J
  12. I'm also on holiday at the end of may. WSB2 is organising (!!!) a meet down near the New Forest on the 4th June, which is always worth going to (if he turns up and is not watching the Grand Prix!!). Suggest a mini convoy down there could be fun Normally the last weekend of the month would be fine though, just not May for me. J
  13. OK, have been out and had another look today, and when the car is running, and the AC button pressed, the clutch engages, tries to turn the compressor, makes a squealing noise and disengages. I assume that the compressor is seized. By disconnecting the pressure switch connector, the clutch does not move. Also I cannot turn the inner part of the pulley by hand - should this spin? (Am seeing a vehicle AC specialists in Bath on Friday) J
  14. Not sure mate - will have to check tomorrow (am driving works vehicle tonight). Are you supposed to bridge the terminals? Does it fool the system or complete an electrical circuit then? I'm sure that the FMIC wouldn't have fitted with the fan in place (maybe didn't try hard enough!) J
  15. Looking for some help here, especially as the warm weather approaching. A few weeks ago my AC light started blinking. I've searched on the forum and done a few checks and found that: 1. if I pull the electrical connector on the clutch switch, the revs rise (the radiator fan also seems to make more noise) 2. the clutch in the centre of the pulley does not seem to engage (I can't see anything moving), although the outer part of the pulley spins, just not the middle. Now, I assume that this is why the light is blinking (ie a problem), but the diagnostics say 'normal'. I do have a Greddy FMIC which required removing the AC fan (big one in cage). Could this have a buggered anything up? Do I need a new pulley, a new clutch, a whole new compressor? Please help... J
  16. Damn, was hoping you could tell me. I'll probably get it re-gassed and see if that's it. I looked into the spyglass and saw nothing, so I think it's empty, maybe a leak?
  17. ...to ensure Supra meets don't end up with non-supra interlopers!! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SUPRA-Large-Sign-for-Toyota-3-0-twin-turbo-sz-szr_W0QQitemZ4633517264QQcategoryZ10428QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem J
  18. yep, my fav Supercar ever
  19. Anyone go to this? I did after reading it on the Integrale Forum on Friday. Pretty good selection of Italian cars. Loads (and I mean loads) of Alfa's, some pretty old ones too. A few Lambos and quite a number of Ferraris. I put my name down for a brochure on the new Brera, which I had a sit in - rather nice (4WD V6 will be pretty good). A couple of nice looking Integrales and a fair number of Statos' too. Well worth the bus into town!! Walked poast a nice gunmetal 355 which was at some lights. When the driver pulled off the exhaust was extremely loud. Took a few pics with camera phone. Just after I took the Car Wash pic, the girl in the black on the right took a cheeky (literally) upskirt pic of the girl near her. (I think she was part of the 'promotion'). J
  20. For the last few weeks, my air con light has been flashing. I assumed this was due to needing a regas, but after doing a search on the forum last night, I now think there may be a problem. If I put the AC on, the revs rise, but after 2-3 seconds they drop again and the light flashes. With the bonnet up I noticed a bit of a screeching sound when it kicked in - although this could be normal and just me being paranoid. I've disconnected the clutch switch (pic) and the air con comes on, goes cold and the light does not flash, so I guess the compressor is at least working. I've also done the diagnostics and the 2 lights above the Auto button flash - I think this means normal operation - so what's the problem?? thanks for any assistance J
  21. Rich, Did you get this sorted as mine's started doing this. What was the problem. I've been assuming it was just needing a re-gas, not an actual problem. Any answers would be great. J
  22. Yeah, but if I did win the lottery which is, admittedly, unlikely as I don't actually do it, I would spend on the Supra (and Integrale too) first and while the work's being done I may consider getting an Aston Martin Vanquish to tide me over
  23. Yep Simon, I think this is the way. Rather than losing a few k every couple of years, just plough it into the Supra
