  1. Ever considered moving towards a VM based architecture? Computer have a virus? No problem! It's virtual... reload the image, viola.
  2. potentially. Being the pragmatic type i tried not eating the honey one year and I think my hayfever was worse... I hope it's not just a placebo affect tho! Maybe source honey near you? Admittedly there are tons of bee keepers around here in Dorset tho. It was always interesting when we had young cats to see them go after the bees and regret it
  3. I still see tons of bees every day... but then I live next to a beekeeper. Mmmmm *really* locally sourced honey
  4. All I can say sir, is that you are a complete mentalist. Having broken arms, jaw and skull on BMX bikes without engines... I shudder to think. I think you need a meatier chain than that on the bike IMHO. I have a motorbike chain on mine just for pedal power. Why on earth are you fitting it to a bike with plastic mag wheels though? Thought you'd want to get a meaty 48-spoke hub on the back at least? Another very vital thing I would have thought would be to get some chain-tensioners (the type that stop the wheel at the back sliding forward) on it? Only £10 from local bike shop... would save grief of slack chain..
  5. Hey gals 'n guys, Going to Dublin at the end of next month for 3 days for a bit of a break. I was wondering if many from here have been and what would they recommend to go check out? Staying at Morrison hotel right in the centre of town, so far been recommended the Viper Bar and of course the Guiness tour

    Guitar hero.

I thought I wouldn't like this game as I play guitar for real.... but it's actually grown on me as a little bit of fun. The songs on hard are a good challenge - without doing the tutorials I didn't even use pick-on/off, which made my life a heck of a lot harder for a while. 4th difficulty level is a bit irritating, the battles anyway. And the songs you just dont' like to play
  7. *free bump* Hey I never curbed them, alas I never got round to refurb when I bought them off Jurgen. Good wheels tho :-) Looked lovely on the car methinks. Hope new ones are just as good Jay :-)
  8. You need a place with low ambient temperature I guess (if it is a heat thing). Work outside late at night, or do you have a chest freezer you could temporarily climb in? mmmm chilly.
  9. I've got a defibrilator you could borrow... *zap* No, in all honesty if it's running for five minutes I doubt it's a bad block issue on your hard drive(s). If it's running for 5 minutes then shutting down it sounds like something's reaching it's thermal envelope then going down like a sack of s*** to protect itself. Heatsinks, mobo, CPU itself, not great to diagnose. Maybe you can boot it up to any OS and get some stat monitor that shows you CPU/Heatsink/GPU/HD heat levels?
  10. Been playing GTA4 since Friday (useful when you know a friend who owns a game shop...) mmm sleep depravation. The cars do handle like they've all got leaf-spring suspension.. RWD, FWD, 4WD... handling is a lot harder than GTA3 The burnouts you can do until the tires pop is great :-) The fact you can call up a cop car and then nick it, tap into the computer and become a vigilante killer is quite interesting... Oh and get in a taxi, pick a route then tell the taxi driver to nail it. They're absolute nutters!
  11. I had 40mm drop front + rear and 19's on it with yellow bilsteins, car was stiff as **** and handled like a greasy rollerskate, but had no issues with rubbing. Reraised to stock springs + 18's much better imho handling wise.

    B** Cac

Saw you in Bournemouth last night about 5.45, nice vibrant orange there! with TRD spoiler
  13. I'm losing my mind, I'm not sure if this was me or not!
  14. *pats his MBP* If you don't need the graphics, go for a MB. If you need to use apps which rely on graphics card and RAM or want a higher res screen without so much colour bleed or dithering it's MBP all the way. Also the 17 hi-res screen is just loooovely. Oh and buy a MATTE screen not glossy! Oh yeah look at macrumor's buyer's guide too http://buyersguide.macrumors.com/#Portable_Macs
  15. Buy Resistance Fall Of Man... oh and motorstorm Maybe in the light of this release we should put our gamer-tags up on here and get some teams/clans going..

    longleat Zoo?

You can actually avoid the monkey enclosure if you don't want to go in it.. Longleat also give a bus service around the park, so you could always take your motor and bus it round The gorillas on their island was the best bit for me..
  17. I've lent the game to a mate.... but I don't recall it having one!
  18. Hey mate, Who's got first dibbs on this and also what methods of payment you take? paypal? Apologies in not getting back to you previously, work = mania. Cheers, Si
  19. morning constitutional, but quite frankly, this is taking the proverbial giraffe... and is also quite wrong. http://www.theregister.co.uk/2008/03/13/toilet_woman/
  20. I loved those restaurant reviews. My girlfriend loved being taken up the Oxo Tower. We both thoroughly enjoyed it.
  21. If your girlfriend is up for a strip club I'd push it further and go for a night out at The Torture Garden (google it).... deviant clothing and a gas mask or grinder (the kind you use on metalwork..) may be required. Mmmm deviantness.
  22. I'd still recommend having a browse around Carnaby street, Covent Garden and if it's your thang, Camden Town (there's a great bar on the lock to get pissed at if it's sunny) Can't help you with shows tho, not my bag I'm afraid, I'd go see if there's any gigs on at the Astoria
  23. It's just a little thing, but broke my washer bottle motor, got one off a member her but it didn't come with the rubber seal that forms the seal between it at and bottle. Anyone have one going?
  24. It's sad isn't it, Michael is right, they ghost the money out of your account (this can take as little as 13-15 seconds on a decent OLTP banking system), use your money either in their accounts (to gain interest) or use it on other investments for the 7-9 days (christ that's long..) and then deghost it from their account to the recipient (again 13-15 seconds). Cheques can be cleared within a minute by the systems, it is just mainly the middle men wanting to make money sadly
