  1. Like 365ft/lbs of the top of my head. We're starting to recover so I am anticipating another dyno session soon.
  2. M_life, that decision is up to you, but I hope that you at make that choice on your own.
  3. I'm not on SF anymore so I wouldn't know what goes on there, but clearly there's some misinformation being spread. Either way, I don't see the point of spreading it here. For the record I didn't read elitecustombody's post because I know it's going to be one sided garbage and skewed information. It always is as he's always portraying himself as the victim. Let it be known that it was he who approached me with a deal to trade a motor for a widebody plus car, and the deal was quoted at 10 weeks. 6 months later after there was no work performed, I asked to kill the deal but he refused. It wasn't until 2 years later that he made good on his side of the deal. I can't tell you guys how much REAL (folding) money that I was out due to missing parts off of the car. I even paid to have my motor/turbo refreshed when quite honestly I didn't have to since there the motor was offered as is and in the two years the project took, it was available for inspection at any time. As far as I'm concerned, elitecustombody is very talented but attempts to manipulate through guilt and pressure. I consider our transaction complete as it took place and was satisfied over a year ago. I prefer and choose to have no more contact with him as the transaction went south and I feel lucky to have it completed. I realize that this is a forum and that the internet is the internet, however those who know me know that I make every effor to satisfy my friends and customers. I take a personal interest in my customers projects, and do my best to go the extra mile. I can't please everyone though, and I'm cool with that. Anyone who researches me will see that I absolutely have a clean record, not even a speeding ticket. I do my best to stay on the up and up.
  4. I know Jamie, I wasn't meaning you mate, I just know that threads like these turn into arguements. Chris is entitled to his opinion much like everyone else is, but I fail to see why he honestly thinks his $20,000 motor is jusnk when (1) he's trying to sell it on, and (2) he only went so far as to have the motor delivered to shop who has his car. It's hard to label a motor junk when the motor is brand new and never even been turned over, much less never even been seen first hand by the person labeling it junk in the first place.
  5. My fault was that I shared my build journey as it went along and posted all the high points along with the challenges.
  6. I don't want to get into an arguement over the internet, I don't see any point in that. The motor is brand new, and has never been turned over. I have no hard feelings toward the engines owner, really no feelings either way, but the hard fact is that the owner has never seen the engine first hand. The engine is down in Florida and he is in Virginia 1000 miles away. I see this motor first hand between one and two times a week since I dropped it off at the shop to be installed into his car. The owner chose to pursue another path and that's cool. But in fact he has no base to pass judgement either good or bad on a motor he has never seen. If anyone this particular engine build pics, please PM me. I've got a lot of them. Eric
  7. Chris' engine is a killer and given that I would have the cash, I would buy it back myself. The problem is that the present owner of the motor never pursued the project and listened to people who didn't want to continue with the project in the first place. I know first hand that this motor was simply dropped in to the engine bay by the shop who has the car, trans attached, left for 6 months, then pulled back out. So basically it's a brand new motor. The new owner is getting a killer motor here.
  8. Effected how? If we're honest I had to stop pushing my car for power because we were hit hard by the recession. It's not something that go blabbing on SF. Things are looking little better now so I would like to continue on. Eric
  9. Thanks mate, it really is a well behaved car. I mean I had to windows down and you could hear me plain as day. In my old white car, I had to yell to talk to the passenger whether the windows were open or not.
  10. Yeah, the battereis died right when the on coming truck was ready to pass. I'm midway through the 2nd gear pull, and the camera is blank. Nice.
  11. Thanks man. Also for the record, I don't mind bumping up the HP. But if I'm to do it, it's going to be on my terms and because I wanted to, not because the monkeys on SF chide me into it. That's the wrong reasons. In the three years it took to get the car to this point, I've learned a lot about what's important. Also, like I metioned up top, the Th400 eats a lot of HP, but what it eats up it gives back in ease of driving and drama free operation. I know everyone in the world has seen this already, but here's the car in action. Right now, chasing a HP number, 1/4 mile, etc... that's all BS. If it's not making me money, it's costing me money, and right now I've got a line on a real money maker, so for right now the rest is put to bed. Thanks! Eric
  12. Those HP goals were set years ago, and int he two years it too to finish the body work, I grew not to care so much as what HP the car is making as how the car rides and feels. I'm done chasing a number. For the record, the Th400 sucks up ~30% of your HP, so 380 roughly equates to 500BHP at 8psi. What it's making now I can't say, but with the trans pump replacement and wastegates tuned properly, there's a difference. The most I could want out of this motor is ~900BHP, or 600rwhp. Through that transmission, it's quite a bit. But either way, I wouldn't be disappointed if the car sits like it is now for a while. Maybe with some audio, that would be nice. On Supras, this is my last one. It's been fun but I've got my eye on bigger prizes. Eric
  13. Exactly Jamie, I built the car for myself. I didn't say I wouldn't tune it for more boost, I just said that if I do, I'm not going to post it up. On storing the car for years, that's really not a problem. I stored my old white Supra for years while I was living/working in Europe. Eric
  14. The business side is staying, in fact we're making some changes coming soon. Same parts, different approach.
  15. Yeah, I've been on those forums for ~8 years now and even made a business out of it. The auto business is that like no other, for better or worse. I'll give you the root of the problem. It's not the HP, that's fine for the lower boost it's set at right now. While the members would like to see the car make power, they want more of it and immediately. In that way I think the members attempt to manipulate. No, they're accusation was that the motor overheats. No matter how many times I say that it doesn't, post a video, etc, that accusation is still repeated. I take the car out for hour long cruises through town for goodness sakes, but that's apparently still not good enough. I've come the the realization that no matter what is said, what is done etc., it'll never be enough. So.. instead of playing their game, I choose to turn my back on it. That's really the long and short of it. Eventually I'll tune the car for high boost, but I promise that it won't be presented there.
  16. I got a forum about 10 months ago, but never actually developed it. Maybe one day
  17. Edit to this. To date the car has one tune at a low pressure, so the power is in the range of being normal for 8psi. If we had ramped it up to 22 psi and nothing happend I'd be a bit more concerned but of course that's not the case. Even if this car made massive amounts of power, I wouldn't share at this point.
  18. AHahahaa.. for 45000GBP, it's yours. The issue I take with SF is no matter what sort of power the car ulitmately makes, no matter how many videos of the car, there's always going to be two types of people. The bashers and ass kissers. I really don't have the will to tolerate either. There's just nothing in it. Eric
  19. I took it down on SF because the people of SF are jerkoffs. But I didn't take it down from here, however, because the UK crowd seems a bit more civilized. Yes the car is for sale. If it sells then good, and if it doesn't, I'll pack it away for a while. I can promise that no one will see the car for a decade. Eric
  20. Thanks Ed, it's a whole lot of fun to drive on the street. Eric
  21. I'm actually very happy with it right now. I may send it back for some fine tuning and to bump it up slightly, but chasing a number is not in my plan. Thanks! Eric
