  1. Wow, now that's not bad at all! Ed, I'm sending you an e-mail now. Eric
  2. The early 1uz is the distributor driven old design toyota V8. It's been in service in the SC400 from 92-97. In 1998, toyota revamped the V8 and completely changed the head design. The ports are much more conducive to making HP on the new V8, and the coil on plug configuration changes the game. Also the valves are larger on the new V8's. Here's a quick look at the differences between the models. There are more intricate differences but this will give a good overview. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_UZ_engine
  3. The Sc400 distributor type V8 is really an inferior V8 when compared side by side to the 2uzfe, or even the 1uzfe VVt-I. The head ports are totally different and even the valve's are larger. Eric
  4. That and materials. They used a mild steel, possibly thin wall. If the mani fails a 60lb turbo can come crashing down. Here's the difference between the XS Power and a properly manufactured .125 thick wall stainless mani. XS Power Ours
  5. It's being talked about over on SF. That manifold is a bit sketchy. Eric
  6. GBP according to current exchange rates. Not long ago it was 12k. Eric
  7. Two VERY boring videos of the car in short trips around the block. Not in the boost yet, but but still having fun with the torque.
  8. Pics of Ed's motor ready to go. A coupel more items to be attached to the pallet but you guys can see the final product.
  9. Come on with it :) I can offer some special pricing. Eric
  10. Hahahaha.. it's "ok" I guess
  11. The interior isnt' done yet, but it's getting there:
  12. 10,200K for an NA setup, and 13,800K for a TT setup. That's the basics of it. TT Vuipers are tough out here. There's a few Corvettes that are tough Thanks! Eric
  13. 10,200K for an NA setup, and 13,800K for a TT setup, . Eric

  16. Bingo. It's a relatively low 3400 stall, so as the throttle pressed in first gear, the converter jumps to the stall. In second gear, it doesn't flash so fast, the converter "hooks", and the car lunges forward. It's a crazy feeling coming from a Supra Torque down low? Yes Eric
  17. Some first impressions bearing in mind that I'm not in the boost and not revving past 4K right now. One word.... torque. Just with a trip around the block, there's already a noticable difference. I have a Sp400 (3 speed GM trans, with a 3400 converter), and when in first gear the converter flashes, but when the throttle is stabbed in second gear at 1500rpm, the car lunges forward hard. It's totally different from a 2jz. This motor is torquey. Eric
  18. Hi Ian, The hose is close but it's handling the heat well so far. The steel tubing goes far into each silicon end to give it some rigidity. The area directly over the coated piping is the steel portion of the radiator hose, so that's good news there. It'll be one of those things we'll have to keep an eye on. Thanks! Eric
  19. Let's see... -7 offset, 18x11fr, 18x13 rear Darin is coming over tomorrow to help get the car on the street for break in. We're going to run around the block a few times and care the kids. Eric
  20. It is a bit devisive, but that's to be expected. My neighbor is a photographer for piaa and hella, and he was in awe of how it turned out. The paint is like glass and as close to flawless as I've seen on any Supra. It's almost above me Eric
  21. Yep, I'm packing yours in right now. Eric
