  3. Ed's ECU is one hell of a good unit. Eric
  4. A V8's secondary balance, it's natural balance, is always off. This applies to everything from a Pontiac to a Ferrari. A V12 and I6 are for all purposes perfectly secondary balanced. The balancing that goes on at the engine shop is the primary balance and any platform can be made to be near perfect. It's just the nature of the game. Eric
  5. Ed, I'm VERY happy that it arrived [and that we had three straps on it ] It looks like the cradle may have come apart in the rear, but the motor is still in good shape. Outstanding man! I'm very happy for you! Eric
  6. Hmmm that's true, I haven't taken much in the way of pics lately. A small update, Titan Darin graciously took his time after work to come trim out the part and full throttle. The car's got some umph. First gear is useless, so we weren't tuning it in 1st gear, just 2nd and 3rd. Stab the throttle and the car moves out from low revs. Next step is to hand it over to Real Steet and Darin to finalize the tune. This motor is going to make some power. Where the old 2jz fell flat at low revs, the V8 jumps out. I love it! Eric

  9. Hhaahhaaa... well, we've got the 5.4L stroker crank on the shelf as well as a set of billet mains for the 4 bolt main conversion. PM me when you get a chance, I can't I'm sure we can work something out. Eric

  11. Yeah, the thing to remember as well is that the dyno is just another tool in the belt. Even if the car makes 600rwhp on dyno A and 1000rwhp on dyno B, the main goal is to have the car wind out smoothly to redline and perform within reason. Dyno sheets are good but always should be taken for reference rather than gospel. Thanks! Eric

You still have to be concerned with the custom clutch, tranny adapter, custom motor mounts, custom subframe, etc. It's defintiely not a plug and play and by the time your'e all in, you may as well have gone for the Toyota V8TT Having the core motor is only about 5% of the total job, it's only after the core arrives does the real cost and labor begin. That's why the Toyota V8 swaps are so attractive. We can supply the entire V8 and swap kit, soup to nuts, and you can drop the V8 in right off the pallet the afternoon that it arrives. Eric

  15. It would take a lot more cash to put in a LS7TT that it would a 2jz stroker of a 2uzfe V8TT. Without a doubt. Eric

  18. This customers motor is still sitting on his cradle out of the car. We delivered a complete 100% 5.4L engine however the customers is still not ready to install it into his car. He as a widebody project of his own that's rather on again/off again. Thanks! Eric
  19. No real reason, that's just what comes with the kit. They're not a bad rod and the ones that we've gotten so far have all been within a gram of each other. There are much better rods available, Carillo comes to mind. We can also upgrade to Carrillo, no doubt, just that the pricing is higher. We're talking a difference of ~$1600 usd just in rods. It's all up to the end user, we're flexible. Eric

  21. I wanted to share these as well, I got these today. They're 4 bolt splayed main caps provided by a premier race team that produced the original 1800HP Blast Racing V8TT. These are the very same style main caps used to build that incredible block. For reference, that V8TT was the first import motor to break the 200mph barrier. These 4 bolt splayed mains can make one strong bottom end. Eric
