  1. Hi Mike, Mine has just over 30k miles on it with just the gearbox-downpipe brace. I would think that says enough & I'm no
  2. Mark said you were in early on Saturday......kid with new toy:D:D?
  3. Mine is a daily driver, I have put 35K on over the last 3 years, doesn't burn a drop of oil, you get minor niggles now & again......what do you expect, but I think 30k is reliable.
  4. This could be something to look into. I believe Jake had an fpr problem that led to severe det, think that was a bad vacuum hose to the fpr. Jake??
  5. thank chaps....... it'll be the big one next year. wierd...I don't feel 'old' Lui, Shame I won't be able to make this. I'll be down in Hampshire on holiday fishing my socks off:)
  6. unless your knock sensor isn't working properly Mark's done quite a few vvti's.....Including Mine:)
  7. If it is det /knock the throttle will shut down, not as hard as fuel cut as a point of interest, Mark from Phoenix is moving out near perth I believe in august. so you guys will have someone who knows supras inside out over there soon
  8. 'Powerkites great fun, been on my ar*e a few times' My 7 metre kite has had me 15ft off the ground......great fun gets the adrenalin going
  9. Does the throttle shut down when this happens? if not, then it may not be det/knock. have you checked the knock sensor & wiring? even the slightest bit of det/knock will shut the throttle on mine( when i've wound on a bit too much boost:D )
  10. If you are going to see circa 600bhp at least get some arp's in the bottom end.......you'll be rebuilding sooner than you think if you don't John
  11. Yes Mike, found this out the hard way with the old cast manifold., which cracked the downpipe at the v-band flange to the turbo. without the bracket, when the engine moves the exhaust was flexing at the downpipe. Without the bracket on our system, I would imagine that you are getting some flex at the manifold.( not as rigid as the cast manifold) with the bracket, the whole downpipe & manifold is now rigid, any flex is taken up by the mounting rubbers of the exhaust system ( from the downpipe back) hope that makes sense. john
  12. The stock bracket uses one of the bolts on the downpipe flange......Just checked mine as it's the same system, so it should line up exactly
  13. Mike, The stock gearbox to exhaust bracket should mate up with the end of your downpipe ( if I remember right it's the same as Mine) takes all of the load/weight John
  14. Rsp has 2 types of 'pearl' tint in it
  15. if it is beeping approx. every 10 mins. it is usually the low battery warning. Double shift & press the no 2 button to temporarily disable the proximity sensor (you wil get 4 flashes on the indicators), if it then carries on beeping you will know it's your battery John
  16. 'does Food Freak still have a supra? I always liked that!' Thanks Still Around, still have the car as a daily driver. just don't post a lot. You will see it at the Moor mill meet for Mark ( phoenix) on saturday John
  17. I had this with my rps street max. the bearing carrier was worn & not lining up properly making the pedal harder. bear in mind that this happened after 3 yaers of running rps clutches( & a lot of town driving) Also check the clutch fork pivot, mine was cracked making the alignment problem worse was fine after changing the bearing ,carrier & clutch fork pivot Hope this helps john
  18. 'RSP is clearly the best; so rare it's not even on the list' I would have to agree:innocent: John
  19. you do NOT want a safc, with a single you need fueling & timing.....or it could go far better to wait & have the V-pro mapped
  20. Gareth at Envy can get them.
  21. I'd be interested, VVti manual would be really usefull john
  22. GVN are good, mine's there now, but if you want the ultimate .... carl @ Bibbysbodystyling does flawless paintwork. if you looked past the bodykit, the paintwork on his old chargespeed supra was superb not cheap though John
  23. Have a look at this http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=10057&highlight=foodfreak
