Cheers bud. How long did it take to get to the UK?
-
Hi guys, I'm after a hks carbon ti exhaust system. Where in the UK can I get one? Or are you selling any on the forum? Rather not order from US etc, but if needs be I can. Any help appreciated. Regards Ash
-
Hi mate, does it sound the same as the one in the video I linked? Regards Ash
-
Its defo 4 inch mate http://www.garagewhifbitz.co.uk/garage-whifbitz-672.html I thought they stopped making HKS ti exhausts? Not really keen on getting another ti exhaust after having issues with a Tomei titanium exhaust on my Nissan Silvia S15. It developed cracks on the welds after 4 months. Got a replacment and then that got cracks on the welds after 2 months

Hi guys, Im considering getting a slightly different exhaust fot my 93 TT BPU supra. My setup currently is Jspec TT engine, 440 injectors, 264 cams, twin hybrid turbos, full 3 inch decat, japspeed exhaust system 4 inch muffler and 3 inch pipe, Greddy Profec Boost Controller, Chris Wilson FCD. I basically want a new exhaust that sounds mean. Something a bit louder I guess with more burble. I am currently looking at the HKS Silent Hi Power. Seen a video on youtube and it sounds awesome. Does it actually sound like this? The other exhaust is the Whifbitz 4 inch S/S single box, also sounds quite good. Just wanted to get your opinions really? The HKS silent has a cool burble and tone i think, but wanted to double check that it actually sounds like that Regards Ash

Rear wing finishes it off. i would keep it. Reminds me of my S15. Great looking supra by the way

Yeah it will be the throttle body and idle valve control bud. Had the exact same issue. Gave it a good old clean and now good as new Regards Ash

Cheers bud, I agree totally. It was not sold through the forum so the dispute on here I not valid. I was just simply asking to see if anyone would be kind enough to advise me on the current situation. Seems a lot of response was given, which I am grateful for. As said above it seems as though most suggest to stand my ground with the current predicament. Even if the box was marked with writing, it could have been copied and written on another box. Might be me over thinking, but it just doesn't feel right to me. But thanks again guys for your council -

I understand where your coming from above. This is why I came on here to ask your guys advice and where I stand. As stated, I had the box running in my car prior to dispatch. It was also tested at whifbitz. After this stage the buyer made the purchase and arranged his own courier and pallet company to collect the item. A week later, he messages me to tell me that it has now completely stopped going into 2nd gear and crunches. Quite strange as it had only been taken off my car fully functional with no tell tell signs or noises etc. The reason why I am standing my ground currently is that I have been advised by majority of people on here so far and others to. If the majority said "hey Ashley, you are totally in the wrong and should refund the buyer" I would say fair enough I put my hands up and do as suggested. A few valid points are that I do not know how it was transported or how it was fitted, for all we know it could have been damaged at this stage. The box showed no signs of being problematic before he purchased. To be missing 2nd now seems odd. Like one of the memebers above stated. When he sold his old supra to the buyer, it was in perfect working order and was tested. After the buyer purchased he travelled half way home and the engine blew. The buyer didn't then argue a refund. Its just one of those things. The buyer has to take some responsibility and he could have easily inspected the gearbox prior to purchase if he had wanted to. He would have been more than welcome to check it over. -

I sent them info of the transaction. He tried to open a case claiming that he had an unauthorized payment going out of his account, which wasn't the case as he agreed and sent the payment. So they closed the case. I held up my end of the transaction, had everything tested and even helped him try to source a courier as he initially wanted a refund due to not being able to arrange collection and stating no one would help him. So I then went out of my way. So it was a bit up and down to start off with. -

So just so I'm on the same page. I asked him as the buyer to pay for the items using PayPal. He then transferred as a gift for said items, his decision not mine. He is responsible for the method of payment. PayPal cant really hold me responsible if he paid with that method. Plus he agreed to the terms of the sale in the first place. I held up my end and had the box checked over by Whifbitz. They confirmed this over the phone to him and his garage. -

Thats what i was thinking mate. I have responded with the following: On the 22nd of May 2015, the buyer purchased and paid for a 5 speed supra gearbox through Paypal Gift. The gearbox was fully tested prior to dispatch by Garage Whifbitz, a tuning company that specialises in Supra's for the last 15 years. Once paid for, the buyer then organised his own pallet and courier to collect the item from Whifbitz south wales branch, where my car was currently located having work done. A week later the buyer has come back to me stating that the gearbox was fitted by his mechanic and no longer works and crucnhes in 2nd gear. This seemed odd to me, as it worked for the last year in my car and was then fully tested by Garage Whifbitz prior to dispatch. Due to the box becoming damaged since removal from my car and not knowing how it was treated during transporation and fitting. Also due to this being an agreed sale by both parties, it therefore does n0t come under unothorized access to the buyers paypal account, as the buyer freely sent the funds via paypal gift to the seller with the mind set to buy. I would like to dispute this transaction. If you require any further info, please contact me soonest. Regards Ashley ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the meantime should i try to prevent the charge back by unlinking my bank account? As he still has the gearbox!!! -

It was fitted to a NA supra. His mechanic fitted it and then test drove. The mechanic spoke to whifbitz who also told him to was working fine prior to dispatch. I am a bit lost on what to do. Any advise on this situation? I have sold many items on here and not once had any issues like this with anyone. -
Hi guys, As you know, my supra is currently having a lot of work done at Whifbitz and has recently had the 5 speed gearbox removed. I recently sold the 5 speed gearbox to someone on the facebook sales page in working order. It was working in my car when I drove all the way to south wales and it was also tested by Whifbitz prior to dispatch and was seen to be in full working order. A week later, I have now been told that the guys mechanic has fitted the box and it now has no second gear, crunching etc. I found this a bot odd as there were no tell tell signs of it going when myself and whifbitz looked at it. No whining etc or cruching. He has now sent paypal a request that money has been taken from his account due to unortherised access to his account, which it wasnt of course as he freely sent me the money via paypal gift. He claims i have sent him a faulty box which wasnt the case. I have also been threatened that if I did not refund the box and take it back that he would tell everyone on the forum supposedly that i was a fraud, whcih I through was a bit harsh I find this all hard to believe as it was fully tested and how am I to know it was not damaged during transportation? So my question is, where do I stand? What would you do in my shoes? Really need help and advise! Regards Ash
