Hey bud, I know this is a little off topic, but I was just curious what your insurance quote was? I'm guessing your car is running 500bhp plus? Just trying to get an idea of what going single would cost. Hope it gets resolved soon bud. I know the feeling when something goes wrong the supra, it is disheartening In regards to your issue, if its been sat for a few months, is it fitted with an after market ecu? This may be the cause of the issues.

Hi guys, Just researching single turbo setups at the moment. I have everthing else on the car setup and ready to go including a new syvecs S6 ecu. Car is currently a hybrid TT running 450bhp at the flywheel. 440 injectors, 264 cams, decatted exhaust system, Spec stage 1 clutch and Spec lightened flywheel, 6 speed, large TT diff. Looking to make maybe 500bhp with this setup. Dont wanna go to far. I would be on a budget and would like to know from you guys where I can purchase the parts from at a reasonable cost? And also what you guys would recommend? I know I will need the following (correct me if im wrong): stainless steel twin wastegate, twin scroll exhaust manifold 40mm external wastegates 3" V band stainless steel downpipe and midpipe 4" intake pipe and air filter/induction Possibly larger injectors And of course a decent single turbo Or are any parts currently within my setup usable with the single setup, for example, I already have a decatted exhaust system. Any help with this, links, prices, recommendations would be greatly appreciated as always

Hey bud, can this bonnet be painted at all? Would like to paint it white to match rest of car. would it come with all fittings, bonnet pins etc? Also, does it have a built in channel for water on the underside of bonnet? So that when it rains the water doesn't just drop all over parts of the engine bay.

Well I have found out that mine actually have fog lights built in as well, which is handy. similar to standard ones. So in regards to reflectors, If I got a set of adhesive reflectors and had them on the outside of the tail light casing and rear bumper, would that be acceptable?

These are the rear lights I'm looking to at. Top image with black backing lights. I just wanted to double make sure that these were fine for road use. The housing is different to oem and I'm not sire they have reflectors. Anyone else advise on this?

I do like the glow ones, but they are quite expensive at £925. I prefer the halo led light posted above.

Well im keeping the car now to enjoy it, so what does it matter? This is redundant.

Supra is no longer up for sale. I have decided to take the plunge and have a syvecs S6 ECU installed, in order to adjust fueling/timing etc. I am told this will be one beast of a car once the Syvecs is installed, so yeah Im keeping it Mods please feel free to close this thread.

Now thats what I call funny lol. But yeah that cant be a real review.

So a quick update on this guys. My garage contacted me today and they tested the fuel pump, filter, injectors and all checked out ok. They did however find that it was my Fuel cut defender causing the lean issue and knock. I purchased the unit back in July and had it fitted whilst at Whifbitz. It was a Chris Wilson FCD. Car ran on dyno fine after removal of FCD and made decent power too on low boost Obviously it did hit fuel cut as well, but cured the intial problem. Not sure if its just gone faulty or whether it just needs re-adjusting. If it has gone, can you guys suggest a replacement fuel cut defender?

Mine does the same in sequential. Going from turbo one to then turbo two coming online, there is a dip in power before it then shoots back up again. The car started to run lean during the higher rpms at 1bar on the dyno. So at the moment im guessing by me adding the hybrid turbos and 264 cams, that has increased air flow quite a bit, causing it to run lean.

I will do my best to get that info for you. I am by no means trying to mess anyone about, really appreciate everyones input so far. Yes the car is advertised as newly built as it has had a tremendous amount of time and work put into it and it really is a great car. If I am to go through the whole ECU and mapping, I think I may well keep the Supra at this rate for a bit longer But let me as said see what happens over the next few days with my garage. They are very good at what they do and I am sure they will solve the lean issue and find the cause

yeah I realise I do need more info on the issue which I will try to get and inform you guys. Im not entirely sure about the fuel filter in all honestly. It had a massive service by whifbitz when i first got the car, loads spent, so It may well have been done then. When you say anything other than a fault, what do you mean sorry?
