Well I assumed they had the car on the lift and looked at it, I asked them to look at this issue at the same time as the MOT. I have been trying to get an A02B diff so I could swap it and have a look at the one that is currently fitted so the car wouldn't be off the road (I need it for work), but there seems to be hardly any about, and aftermarket LSD's seem to be really expensive.

The code on the plate is A02A, but when I took it to the Toyota dealer for an MOT they said it is an LSD unit that is fitted.

When I took it to Toyota they said it was LSD. The tyres are Falken Azenis FK453 all round, they have only done around 5000 miles I think.

I had the oil changed a week ago in my diff to see if it would cure the traction issues I have been having, but no luck as of yet. Even under low acceleration, if the car is not straight one of the wheels will spin (although it has never activated the slip control strangely). If I am turning left or right at a junction, it's almost impossible to pull away from standing without one of the wheels spinning; it is always the wheel on the inside of the turn. It has done this ever since I have owned it, is this normal? Even when very slowly pulling away I can feel and hear the tyre losing traction on the road.

Would this fit a facelift auto? Or are the pre-facelift differentials the same?

Possibly only post 1999 or 2000 facelift N/A's had the 6 speed?

The more I think about it the more pissed I get that they completely wasted Wehrlein. Legitimately scored a point in what many would consider the worst car on the grid, plus he is already a DTM champion beating many older and vastly more experienced drivers in the process. A complete waste.

Presumably part of Bottas' contract is that he is the number two driver. I can't see them being allowed to race eachother.

Well I have seen threads on other forums regarding bent valves in the 2JZ engine due to mis-timing. I assumed this meant it was an interference engine, i.e the valves and pistons can hit eachother should mis-timing occur. Unless I am misunderstanding what interference means.

The 2JZ is an interference engine.

Why do people want to remove the badges? If you're embarassed that it's a Toyota, then you probably shouldn't have bought one in the first place.

Well the gentleman's agreement actually made cars like the Supra affordable. However certain cars like the Honda NSX would somehow get away with ridiculous price tags. Would you rather spend £100,000+ on a Ferrari, or a piece of shit Honda? Oh wait but Ayrton Senna helped with the design, that means it must be worth 5 times as much as anything else.

Never buy a car that is advertised on eBay. Simple as that. eBay has become nothing more than a playground for petty cyber criminals.

Can you see inside without having to remove the case completely from the car?

It is a turbo car. I don't have anything planned apart from BPU perhaps. The VIN plate says A02A, but when I took it to Toyota they said it was an LSD unit that was fitted, but I think it is damaged.

The car is stock at the moment, do Toyota sell them anymore? I'm not looking for anything expensive, just something that is as good as the OEM.

What do people recommend in terms of LSD units for the Supra? Not sure what is fitted in mine at the moment, but it is either open or a broken LSD unit.

To be fair most of the cars are horrendous.

I sent all mods through for the BPU via email to Admiral and they wouldn't quote. I have also been with them for a few years, but I got the impression they didn't want to talk to me about it, like I was wasting their time.

They won't insure modified vehicles.

Admiral is one to avoid.
