  1. Are these little doohickeys still £5 each delivered mate???
  2. Hi...welcome along, I'm quite new too and I must tell you...pay your £10 membership straight away. You can do it via Paypal and this means that you wont miss out on any replies or items in the For Sale section etc....I missed out on a few odds and ends while I was waiting for my Paypal to swap money from my bank account...
  3. .....did I mention, I'm naff at plumbing too....the elecTrons would keep escaping and there wouldn't be enough pressure left to light the bulbs!
  4. You were travelling through Ouston at around 8.30pm on Tuesday Night, I was behind you in my Allroad and I turned off just before the Petrol station....
  5. Yeah, I know its the simplest means to an end....But I hate doing wiring. I'm just not onfident with it. I can do absolutely anything else on the main oily bits but wiring is my achiles heel.
  6. I'll bet the wheels cost a bomb in Japan! I like them. Looks like a good basis for a nice car to me.
  7. I need someone to do this mod for me....I was simply going to put a red bulb in one of my reverse lights and wire it up to the foglight switch.
  8. I need someone local to do this for me....I cant follow instructions about electrics....I tend to 'glaze' over...
  9. Either for me.....1st one for me too...so welcome gifts accepted with pleasure!!!
  10. Hi, do you know if the dust plates fit ok with standard J-Spec front brakes?
  11. Mine is just my toy so cant really comment on daily use, but its comfortable enough to used as a daily driver. My Allroad is cheaper to use for running about though and I dont mind as much if it gets a bit mucky in the back....I do a lot of wheeling and dealing so the back always has wheels or some such paraphernalia in it!
  12. Do you still have the 2 lower covers? If you do and they are £23 delivered (and I'm not toe treading!!) I'll take them. Cheers.
  13. Yayyyyy!! I'm now a fully fledged member of the club!!!
  14. I guess a torque wrench is the safest way to get all the studs the same tightness etc, but I havent snapped a stud or stretched a thread in years now....you sharp learn how tight is too tight when you are swapping wheels about almost every week.
  15. Hmm, has it had any nasty smells about it recently, like a burning smell? Just thinking the gear oil might have needed changing and burnt a paper clutch out....I'm clutching at straws a bit now though...(pun not intended)
  16. I have had the exact same issue on Pajeros and Hilux's, the KPH/MPH speed convertor is usually the culprit. But, there is also a speed sensor in an autobox which can be prone to failure. Is the speedo working as it should?
  17. Yes, Volk are Tapered seats, mine are torqued up to TAF.......Tight As Feck! I dont tend to use a torque wrench, just tighten them til they feel right...not til they strip/snap. You should have to apply reasonable force to make the wrench move any further, not have to stand on it.
  18. Hi, I'm quite new to the club too, but welcome aboard all the same. Pics? I'm jumping on the pics bandwagon here.... Got any pics????
  19. If they're actual splitrims, then you're best splitting them down and getting the separate components chemically stripped dressed and re-powdercoated. Dressing will only be req on outer lips to remove damage etc. Ibrar is right about the bolts, you can get gold bolts and chrome bolts, unless you want to paint your originals. You can soak them in coca cola overnight and they usually come up immaculate after a quick scrub. Painting them is sometimes a bit of a pain though as the paint generally chips off when you refit them to the wheels and tighten them up. Polishing is easy after they have been chemically stripped as the bare metal will be exposed, then you just get the centres coated and the outer lips clearcoated to protect the polishe surface. Some companies also offer diamond cutting of the outer lips, expensive but gives a slightly different look to your rims.....food for thought there....I hope I have helped...
  20. I just read this about 3 hrs ago!!! The Mag feature I mean....lovely car....altho I'm biased as my car looks quite similar....
