  1. Good point Darren. Don't know how the pikeys get away with just about everything. Whilst everyone else has to deal with tax, tax, tax.
  2. I share a very similar view on mods to you. That's basically my car 'the before' picture which I thought looked excellent but the after shot is very tasteful and really improves the look. I like.
  3. Oh dear! Hope this question doesn't go the wrong way but what happened to the people involved.
  4. I don't know a thing about bikes other than they are very fast and dangerous. However that's one nice looking bike.
  5. Going from unlimited to 5000 miles reduced mine by £40 I believe. Still took it as I do less than per year but not great is it.
  6. Thats much better. If you try the smaller independent type brokers they will normally recognise the fact you have been a name driver for 5 years and reduce the policy in accordance, something to big companies dont always seem to do.

    Hello

Welcome to the site Naomi, excellent choice of car. Lovely pictures too. Women driving Supra's is always a good thing, I'm sure you'll get loads of attention in one!
  8. Basically: Category C A vehicle where the repairs are assessed by the inspecting engineer as exceeding the pre-accident market value. Category D A vehicle the repairs to which are assessed by the inspecting engineer as not exceeding the pre-accident market value. These 2 are often not too bad and can go back on the road, really bad damage is: Category A A vehicle so badly damaged, destroyed or deformed that it has no major salvageable parts Category B A vehicle damaged beyond economical repair that cannot be safely repaired. An end of life type vehicle that may be used as a donor for "Ringing" should it not be broken and the shell crushed.
  9. At last some replies! Doesn't seem to be an easy one to answer perhaps an air con specialist garage may be able to assist?
  10. Basically if someone enters your house through an unlocked door and you hit them over the head with a bat you'll probably go down for assault. The scum will make up some excuse about not breaking in etc meaning no harm. It will be the person trying to protect their property labelled as a criminal and the car theft will be called the victim. Its not fair, its a joke but that's the justice system for you!
  11. I did a similar experiment with normal Shell unleaded and Optimax. (I'm N/A) Next fill up I'm going to try with Optimax again but I found the MPG to be worse with Optimax and cant really notice any difference other than the cost. Last time I mentioned this on another fuel thread someone else with a NA had done the same and also found Optimax to produce lower MPG.
  12. Scummy little *hits. Thick people like that wouldn't have a clue on how to steal a car with today's alarms/immobilisers etc so sadly key theft is the way they do it. Cant believe anyone would have to cheek to walk into anyone's house and just pick up the keys whilst everyone is still awake! Everyone needs to keep all your keys hidden and no where near the door.
  13. The 250K UK Supra was going down in price to about £7000 I think last time I looked. Don't know if its still on Autotrader?
  14. Does seem cheap. The dealer may not know about Supra's so gave book price on it in part exchange? Does happen, Matt H knows a Ford dealer that bought a UK 6 speed for £6000 I believe!
  15. Looks like a beast hope your enjoying it. How does it compare to your old car then?
  16. Not used it myself but BP say its 98 octane, isn't Optimax 97 and regular 95?
  17. As far as I was aware insures list RLTC as a breaking modification so I would think your fine, especially as they got back to you and told you its fine.
  18. I and my passengers have noticed this too. If you stop the car, seat beats still on then turn off it feels like they are pulling back and clicking slightly. I just thought it was some sort of device to pull the belts back into the there storage place.
  19. So when they say on the box of car bulbs its illegal to drive a car with a malfunctioning bulb at any time day or night is it a lie to sell more bulbs!
  20. Does the Supra have a Pollen filter like some cars, and does it need to be changed?
  21. Thats expensive. Its all the same gas, and quick to do. Should be about half that. 400BHP has details of someone that does it for £40 and he comes out to you. If you PM him he will provide you with the details.
  22. No idea mate, tried the yellow pages under air con? Think the AA service centres on the side of Halfords do it, they are all over the place.
  23. I think its normal, loud hissing sound. Mine does it too.
  24. I wouldn't worry too much. Basically from your diagnostics the front window demister will flash unless it has a bright light shining on the solar sensor on the top of the dash board, or you do the test in bright sunlight. The fresh air/ recycle light relates to the system pressure switch. To prevent expensive damage to the system when the gas levels gets low the pressure switch cuts in which stops the air con working until the gas is refilled and the system is reset as the codes are stored in the memory. I wouldn't recommend pressing the valve again as the gas can be dangerous, but just because you can hear some hissing out it does not mean its full. If your tyre has 10 psi in and you pressed the valve you would hear a hiss but it still needs more air, same principle. Take it to a garage that can re gas the system and reset and it should be fine, as 400bhp said your looking about £45 for this, and its an easy enough job. Plus I cant imagine them being too busy with air con problems this time of year.
