  1. Probably a good idea just in case. Does anyone know if companies like NGK sell the leads or is it better to stick with Toyota?
  2. Is there a difference between an ignition coil and an ignition lead? What does the Non turbo Supra use? For some reason one of my leads the first one (ie closest to the front of the car) seems to be in much worse condition than the others and some of the rubber that holds it firmly in place has crumbled away. It still seems to work fine but if its possible I wouldn't mind replacing it just to be on the safe side. I don't know why one should look so much worse than the other five (which all look like new) but is it possible to buy just one from Toyota, or are there any alternatives companies I should consider? Thanks Adrian
  3. I don't know anything about it to be honest but would another option be to take an engine and turbo's directly from a crashed TT and put it directly in yours, or doesn't it work that way? I know every one is going to tell you to sell your car and buy a TT but that would cost you about another £6000, surely no convention could cost that sort of money could it? If you do bother, then good luck with it.
  4. When changing the plugs on the non turbo is it necessary to replace the gasket after removing the throttle body? If so does anyone have the part number? How long do you think it will take me to do this being my first change on this car as its certainly not as easy as the Celica! Thanks.
  5. Did you receive the PDF? The flashing of the defrost light is normal you just need to shine a very bright light on the solar sensor on the top of the dash board to turn it off. The pressure switch means the gas levels are too low to safely run the air con without causing damage to other parts of system so it shuts off as a fail safe. I'm betting if you turn on the air con whilst the engine is running nothing happens to the revs, and no cold air comes out etc. I'm not an expert in car air con but I would say if you had it regassed which I think costs between £40 and £60 then reset the system it would go back to normal. I need a regas too and mine does the same thing.
  6. It will still run without the odo in at least I cant see why it shouldn't.
  7. Is there anyway to tell if when an odo was converted from KM to miles the mileage would have been correctly converted at the same time so as not to go from 50,000KM to 50,000 miles, but 50,000 KM to 30,000 miles etc?
  8. 36psi! I run 30psi on my standard 16" wheels all round is that too low do you think? I notice that sometimes my steering wanders a bit but its breaks perfectly straight? Maybe its just tramlining.
  9. I asked one of the mechanics at Toyota once that topped up my oil on my Celica for free! 'Do you see many Supra's?' he replied we've worked on one or two but there's not many people that can afford them. Like Dude says this is an old car to them, they really only deal with the Avensis and Yaris etc. Best taken to a specialist that knows there stuff. Plus they are far too expensive. Anyway this doesn't help you just a waning to others. Good luck with it all anyway.
  10. Sorry to hear this Paul! Perhaps you should say you cant stand the hire car and they might give you a lexus RX300?
  11. Looks lovely, your going to have trouble sleeping tonight! Did you import it yourself or are you buying privately? Whatever I'm sure you'll be very happy and welcome to the site.
  12. Do a search for: And Simon thought he had a big one And look at the pictures in that thread.
  13. If Jade Green is the same shade as Green Supra's then its very nice and very rare. All of course depends of your personal taste though.

Welcome to the site. Sounds like you've got a lovely Supra from your signature. Got any pictures?
  16. Always double check before ordering but there are two types. The shell without the very expensive bulbs: LH - 81170-1B210 RH - 81130-1B210 Or LH - 81150-1B210 RH - 81110-1B210 With the bulbs about £100 more
  17. Providing its all been contacted back together ok then its just one very small bulb with little green hood over it. Fairly easy to change. I tried to get a replacement from Maplin for about 15p but wasn't in stock so got some from Toyota for about £2.50 each cant remember now. I need to get another for my cigarette lighter rim though!
  18. I'm guessing its probably just whirly type marks. Polish will help but t-cut or nelsons blue should get rid of it all together.
  19. They wouldnt quote me either think it was because it was an import and under 30.
  20. Not bad. Nippy little 2 litre, 4 cylinder Honda engineering.
  21. Out of interest how did the S2000 do?
  22. Very nice looking, sounding and sweet blue dials! No surprise its from America.
  23. Mines a NA so slightly different but I found it made no difference in performance to use optimax and it made the car less economical too.
  24. Thats exactly what I was thinking, looks fun.
  25. To be honest that's not too bad a price seeing its very low miles and probably good condition. Also the skirts etc are expensive. You've bought it now and I'm sure you'll be very happy when it arrives the non turbos are great value for money to buy and run. They are obviously not as quick as the TT but still a fast car! Plus with the amount of turbos that are blowing lately its something not to have to worry about. Good luck with it.
