Hi, having some problems locating a 22 tooth main shaft for box rebuild. I will buy a temporary box whilst rebuild is being done....does anyone know whereabouts of a second hand box that will suit a J spec '99 car...a bit desperate now...thanks.

..Yes tape would stop the rain but who wants to take a car to a show half dressed. Prob didnt use a high build primer...money back for me and spoiler somewhere else..good luck mucka. -

rant Personalised registration plate - quick question

Just a thought, when you reg your new custom plate the old plate (number ) will go back into the dvla pool, would be tragic to be found with someone elses registration on rear of car if Mr Plod makes a fuss about " whats under that plate ".You know how some of them can be a tad akward. -

an unbelievable car for sure...I was told by someone who bought a brand new car that the sales manager tried to get him to sign a piece of paper that stated if he used the launch control his warranty would be null and void, after a lot of argy bargy (at this point the car was paid for in full) the owner didnt sign said piece of paper. Unbelievable sales ethic for unbelievable car.

Thanks jamie, would it follow then, that a manual diff on my tiptronic would make it slower to take off when given a footfull but a higher top end speed ?

Hi, Does the vvti tt auto, manual and tiptronic all share the same diff, or are there any differences, read through Mawbys guide (my bible) but cannot seem to find the answer here. Does anybody know. Thanks.

Hi, I have very similar looking wheels (Axe rims) with Brembo brakes front, They fitted 3mm shim to fronts so the caliper cleared wheel by a cigarette paper....cant see you having a problem...incidently got great deal with Goodyear F1 Eagles fitted for £1500......best tyre only quote for the eagles was £930 ......new wheels will look ace on your car.

Ithink Parry is correct with ecu....just been through similar headache finding out if the tiptronic ecu will run the auto box (which it wont). Apparently its not just a simple change ecu over, may well be the loom is different. May be of some help.Good luck anyway.
