  1. Try blowing into it to check its not a faulty line
  2. dave come along. you can show me how cool your car is then
  3. Looking forward to this for sure.
  4. He obviously has been getting crap boxes. My w58 is holding up fine at 373hp and ive given it a fair amount of abuse. Over 6000 miles of hard abuse and not one problem. can even feel the stage 5 clutchgetting worn. Ur mates box can definitely not be held as an accurate comparison to the w58s internal capabilities. Jekyl had 380 for months. welshstealth has 385 and no issues. to push the point further parry has 426bhp with the w58. your mate obviously bought boxes with no gear oil :-) An na t setup running bpu power should be fine on 99% na transmissions. the closer to get to 400bhp be aware that the quicker it will wear out as they arent bullet proof but still do well under torque a standard na t setup gives you.
  5. So... I needed yet another gauge, one I probably should of got when I went NA-T anyway. But we live and learn so here my AFR gauge needs a new home somewhere. The clock looks a bit naff in the pre-facelift, so thought I'd put a gauge here like many of you already do. Wanted something a bit different, so thought I'd mount the gauge slightly out of the dash, and have it turned towards the driver slightly. I think I've mounted it too far from the dash. With the gauge in the pod, it seems to sit a fair way out. I think I will sand it down to sit slightly lower. I think as it is, it might look a bit in your face due to the extra length the face of the gauge will add. After making the hole oval shaped, I had to remove the back of the pod holder. Then position the pod, easy job really. Took me about half an hour. Time consuming bit will definitely be tidying it up making the finish nice. Think I'll remove some material later, and see how it suits the dash.

    UK Brakes - Pins

I knew he sells the pistons, didnt know he sold the pins as well. I'll call him tomorrow. Thanks
  7. Been stripping mine down just giving them a clean up. Put the pins down... sharing the shed with me old man, now can't find them. Any idea where I can buy bran new ones?
  8. With some nice stainless steel surrounds and stainless knobs i think your sorted. Maybe even some nice thor dials. Im not a fan of the steering wheel think it overloads the shiney'ness around the driving area. All very much silver with the light grey and stainless. Maybe with a darker toned grey wrap it may help bring out the definition of the steel. Photoshop request maybe? Awesome looking interior though. its very difficult to try and pin an area that isn't to everyones taste. If that were my car, I'd be seriously happy.
  9. I've just ordered the material. I've also ordered plastic stripping to cover 3m with a thickness of 4.5mm, the same as the material I've ordered. Also got two stainless metal support bars in the post. Hopefully all arrive fairly sharpish as having a few photos down exmouth on the weekend. Material should be here tomorrow, hope the other bits arrive. For anyone also interested, here is the material specification. I was concerned about how ductile the material would be, how brittle it may be from an impact so got hold of the specification from the manufacture. The specification states it has 50% elongation before yield. Which shows it's not brittle and won't fall apart from stone chips or other impacts. Better to have a ductile component on the front of the car in my opinion. Polystone_P-black_cop.pdf
  10. Sell your NA and get a TT. Im tempted to buy you a TT just to stop you moaning about owning an NA. Get an NA-T kit and stop your whoring
  11. I thought the signal may be a pulse, and not a constant voltage. Therefore a single pulse to turn on the aerial would not be active while moving. I wasn't sure how the system worked. That makes it easy then if the aerial lowers on the falling edge of the votlage. I was worried a voltage would need to be switched to a different line to bring the aerial back down again. Sorted. Thanks stevie. I'll post a few pictures and diagrams for a reference on the forum to make it easy for people who can only look at pictures
  12. Thanks Lyndon, I'll have a look. Problem is, what if the circuit is turned on while driving.
  13. Swap for stormforce car cover with carry bag? Ace condition?
  14. I've noticed alot of people disconnect their aerial due to not liking that remote control car look. Has anyone ever installed a manual over-ride switch. As I understood the 90's spec celica's, there is an input to raise the aerial, and to lower it. I was thinking of making up a small circuit to be able to turn this on or off as required, didn't know if it had been done already. Depending on how the circuit works, I was thinking I may be able to use a single throw double pole switch to lower the aerial on demand. If no one has any information on how the circuit works, I'll take some measurements on the weekend with wire colours and follow this up with a electronic circuit solution and give it ago. Disconnecting the aerial or unplugging the aerial box on the radio seems overkill, as it would be easier to have the option of both and just easily switch it off.
  15. How much are the carbon diverters for the front wings please Paul
  16. Its how far north is it im worried about.
  17. Carbon weave it. Speak to steve the carbon wrap hobbyist. Will save you £££ in the long run. And get you 100% custom bits.
  18. Not got bigger cams. I'll be using GTE cams. Can't justify the cost I'm afraid. I was very keen on getting custom ones made with a stupidly high duration. But I'm on a lower budget these days trying to get a house, and if you go standalone anyway, installing coils and getting GTE cams is so much cheaper, it's not worth spending money to keep the dizzy as it limits at 650hp anyway.
  19. £20 + postage. Amazing condition. Just been removed from engine.
  20. I was thinking about making some custom ones, just don't know if they will look a bit naff. Be good to see some others. The ridox ones look good with the carbon diffuser, but a flat carbon wrap piece may not be enough to give it a good look.
  21. Yes mate sounds good. Come meet up with the Southwest modified lot, they seem to arrange something most weekends for a little drive about. Let me know before you pop down. Maybe measure your bumper up as I'm ordering my bits tomorrow so should have it fitted by then.
  22. Maybe pick an area of location listy, give people an idea if they are up for the mission then.
  23. did you ever find any canards craig?
  24. Probably going to be cheaper if I make it myself mate. A custom made item is costly. I'll give it ago myself, and if I fluff it up I'll definitely give them a call as their products look awesome. A selection of the front splitters that provide: http://aprperformance.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=64&Itemid=46 They all look ace.
