  1. Its a lovely car buddy but I'd say you've got it right about the price being the issue, markets poo at the mo and your asking top dollar!
  2. As above really nice car!! Steering wheel is a bit in your face for me though looks like some kind of Klingon battle axe!!
  3. Theyre about 6mm think plastic guards that sit just infront of the lights will add a pic when I get home
  4. They were a box to tick on the ghia I dont no why anyone would tick that box but I'm sure happy they did
  5. 700 would buy my fiesta if you look on the threads I started there's a joke ad on there but all the facts apart from 0-60 , top end and the value of the headlight protectors are correct
  6. ive used this before for my old supra come the start of october when i advertise the fiesta properly i will use carcargalore again
  7. just posted some info in the chat part buddy its a piss take piston heads ad but most of the info is correct would be after £750 from a forum member, cheers lee
  8. No code has to be inserted here. pistonheads isnt letting me place a standard ad for some reason?? Ok well thanks for reading my advert,1997 well what can i tell you that you dont already know? Maybe that it was the year molly the sheep was successfully cloned or that Pablo Picasso's Tête de Femme was stolen from a London gallery! possibly you didnt even realise that 1997 was the beginning of the end for the uk economy as tony blair was voted into number 10. anyway i digress whats important here is that although lots of bad things happened in 1997 there was also some good to balance it out mainly that this little beauty rolled off the production line! now then lets tell you a little about the car, it is a 1997 ( one of fords finest years im sure you'll agree ) 1.25 zetec engined ford fiesta GHIA ( i put ghia in caps because it really is that big of a deal !) now i know your salavating at the mere thought you may be able to purchase this car but i insist you calm your excitement while i run throught the fantastic spec of this fabulous vehicle. Front electric windows ....that work Rear winding windows .... that also work Sunroof .... keeps out the water lets in the sun! An estimated 0 - 60 of 3.2 seconds Power steering .... it works so you dont have to. Original ford stereo with cd changer button. An estimated top speed of 167mph Remote central locking .... with 2 keys and 2 spare keys all original! ABS .... because you care A 5 speed manual gear box ( it is the ghia afterall ) A dash that both looks and smells like rich mahogany .... to the untrained eye Velure upholstry .... to impress the ladies Body coloured bumpers .... again its a ghia! Last but certainly not least we have the original ford headlight protectors, ive heard ghia enthusiasts have been known to pay upwards of seven thousand pounds for a set of these!! Now onto the economy of this legend of a fiesta, Fuel consumption (urban) 31.7 mpg Fuel consumption (extra urban) 50.4 mpg Fuel consumption (combined) 41.5 mpg all in all i get around 400 miles from 38 pounds worth of fuel!! tax is only £130 for the year and its insurance group 9 all in all this car will make you money in the long run, dont think of the initial cost but the long term savings whilst you enjoy the comfort of the velour seats! Reason for sale is simple really, as much as ive come to love this car in the short time we've been together, my girlfriend is forcing me to sell as apparantly its not normal for a man to spend so much time polishing his fiesta! Whats that i hear you asking? oh how did i come to be in possesion of this very rare peach of a car? well to anwser i must take you back to last friday when a gentleman came to view the z4 i had for sale. after some bartering i eventually accepted the fiesta and some magic beans in payment. ( I think we all know who got the deal of the year there ) Now dont get me wrong im no fool and usually id never do such a deal but after seeing his fiesta ghia i quickly and astutley realised the value it held what with its very low mileage and clean unabused curves! He swore blind that he gave £1500 for this car in december but i took him for an idiot as it must be worth at least ten times that! End of the day you just wont find another 1.25 zetec fiesta ghia in silver with 60,000 miles, mahogany dash, power steering, remote central locking, headlight protectors and a full service history including folders full of reciepts and all mot's in this condition ever ( except this one ) for sale today for only 1001 ovno!
  9. i wouldnt agree that the price of tt autos coming down is a factor in the price of an na, with the cost of running these cars and the economy being as it is ( and getting worse ) na's will become more desirable than the auto tt's dont get me wrong people are always going to want the big horse power manuals and the money will always be about for them but for joe public an na will become more appealing as things get tighter i know it has for me anyhow!!
  10. Looks very tidy but Market is poo and isn't getting better if you really need to sell quick I'd post it up for 2750 if you've got time to wait then 3500-4000
  11. I will look about properly in October before I buy the car on all the recommended sites I was just pretty chuffed with that quote even the admiral one isn't too bad!
  12. im not nieve enough to believe it will actually be this cheap but anything under 500 would be a big plus
  13. Yeah certain I can post a screen shot later when I finish work
  14. i used confused.coms classic search engine, i will get the company up now. had to change my age though so i was already 25 edit: company is called sure term direct and fully comp with a 250 vol excess comes in at £129.11 cant wait until october now
  15. just had a quote of £130 on a na manual for a classic policy GREAT TIMES
  16. just that they were tightening up and making it so the cars had to be over 20yr old / tax exempt. i spoke to admiral and they said i could have a classic policy at 25 but not on a supra
  17. hi guys i was told today that the rules on classic car insurance was changing? im 25 soon and was planning on buying a supra and getting classic car ins, is that possible or no. thanks lee
  18. I'm sorry but I see my self as being a nice guy and I'd never hit a girl ( god knows my x gf hit me a few times ) but my god if I had been your friend I'd of broke her wrist or done something to teach her not to be a d**k. Being punched in the face is one thing but being glassed can ruin someone's life!! Just to add I really do belive hitting a girl is low of the low! But that's the problem you get girls thinking they can get away with that shit where as if a bloke did it you deff wouldnt let him get away with it!! If they don't act a lady why treat them like one?
  19. will send you a couple through when the guy drops it off buddy, lee
