Hi looking for some working coil packs as I may have a duff one as my miss fire has come back. I changed my plugs to bkr8eix ngk’s and it was fine for about a week of driving and the misfire disappeard but I had a bit of a one the other day on wot so thinking maybe the duff coil has killed one of the plugs. Trying to eliminate! Cheers

Sky have insured me now after a few phone calls around they were the best choice in the end! FJ weren’t intrested in matching or beating them after being with them for 2 years without a phone call to them in need. So sky have insured me full comp, 5k mileage, mods declared, agreed a value of 25k excess £100 10 years NC (protected) for £525. I’m happy with it to be fair FJ coming in at £660.

So it’s that time of the year again and insurance needs sorting, renewal with FJ when up from last years £505 fully comp, 18k agreed value, car back If write off, 3k mileage per year to £550. She was asking me on the phone if I could drop to 2k a year! No I said I want more mileage and agreed value putting up to 23k. So she stated it would go up a little more. I just got off the phone to sky insurance and they have quoted what I’ve asked for 5k a year mileage, 23k agreed value, full comp, that’s parked on my drive way as well, come in at £450 really helpfull on the phone. I asked Footman James if they could match and they have said basically no! Wow shocked said its went up and not down because it’s not 30 years old but it’s still a classic and I can’t use my no claims on it. God knows what’s going on with them!!

I they seem to have done the job , I can definitely feel the difference when on low to high boost settings. 1.2 more tame 1.4 feels a lot more aggressive. If you know what a mean.

No problem mate, I’ve no idea on the start setting either not touched it. I’ve got the new greddy oled bc.

Marcus Hi settings: Set 65 Gain 15 Start 0.50 Warning 1.55 Limiter 10 Low settings: Set 50 Gain 5 Start 0.30 Warning 1.40 Limiter 10 I think when I go back on the rolling road it may change.

yes mate I could of had those ones but they had the bkr8eix iridium in stock. To be fair I took it out yesterday and it felt much much better. A lot smother and on 1.4 bar it’s amense now.

No dunk I didn't, the iridium ones went straight in without adjusting them. I've always used copper one bkr7e and gapped at 0.7.

Sorry mate forgot to update this, didn’t get a reading as I was getting a misfire when going over 1.2 bar. He tuned my BC and told me to change the plugs from copper to iridium. I’ve put some BKR8EIX in her yesterday and took her for a run, no more misfire! I need to take it back to do 3 power runs. Will probs book in on Friday and let you’s know the figures. Funny thing is I used the spark plug facts sticky on here and always gapped bkr7e plugs to 0.7 and he said that the gap shouldn’t be that, more 0.55!

I read that Uk can handle 1.4 bar efficiently, will see on Friday

I’ll see if I can change my settings dunk and will upload results. Maybe try 1.3-1.5 and check results. I’ve got an hour on the roller so will see.

Yes dunk I’ve got it set to 1.4 bar But usually see 1.35 on full wot. It feels rapid but I still think I’ve not got the BC set up hence why I’m taking it for a hour to tune it. Hopefully they will get the best out of it at safe levels.

Sorry forgot to mention it’s running 1.4 bar on the high setting.

Also i was getting a reading of 308bhp when stock, when I first got the car from the same dyno place.

Hi John I’ve got a double decat s/s and toyo sports cat back exhaust s/s. Changed out my original side mounted Intercooler with a really good shape, low mileage stock IC. New plugs, oils, fluid, filters etc every year.

Booked in on Friday at EVO tune Durham, looking forward to see what I’m making. They do a 3 power run or a tune up option. I’ve got a greddy oled BC don’t think I have it tweaked correctly so I’m probably gonna do the “tune” option. I’ve used them years ago with a few lads off here but was just stock and did the power runs. Hopefully they can set it up and check to see if it’s running lean as I’ve got a aem air/fuel wideband. Will upload the results.
