Timlowthian Ill be up for this as mine should be on the road by then. Will probably have a passenger if that's ok?
  6. Im ordering this one on payday has all the features but the Sat Nav is run from iPhone App so you may not want this one. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/350686976524?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 Playing with a demo one i seemed to get on well with it though.
  7. Just Insured my N/A with SKY excellent service from Alex (i think it was anyway). Cheapest quote for me and friendly and helpful! Top Job lets hope next year it will be a good drop as ill be 25 in 4 months.
  8. Yeh i find it really strange. What i think i will do is put the old complete throttle body back on and test that as with the old one it would start fine just idle like crap but start perfectly. If it starts ill know its something on the newer throttle body.
  9. hmm i will check this out as i seem to remember it being slacker than with the previous throttle body. How tight should the cable be ideally?
  10. Well after the good weekend we had some good progress was made on the car. I've now sourced pretty much all of the bits i need for the tidy and the service before getting it road worthy. Going to sort getting the replacement bumper sprayed up this week as well. This weekend was spent completely stripping the interior to clean everything and to replace the ripped up interior carpet and non existent boot carpet. Also fitted one of the S2000 aerial conversions from the group by on here which is a big improvement to my broken stuck mast. Greatest improvement of the weekend was taking off the neons and binning them. Only the front one is left as its in the front bumper which is coming off anyway. Will get some pictures up when I am in from work but tonight's mission is to clean all the leather interior and then get that re-fitted.
  11. So I checked all the connections on the ignition components and swapped them for the ones on the other N/A i have and still the same problem. I haven't checked the ICV on this one as the car runs perfect when its on where it didn't before. Should I take out and clean the ICV? I'm probably wrong but I didn't think it was used when starting the car just the TPS (I'm no mechanic as you can easily tell)
  12. After doing more research online i keep coming across setting up the tps. Could this be the cause of my problems as it came with the replacement throttle body and i haven't adjusted this at all?
  13. All of them have been changed in the last few weeks as well but i will give them all a check over.
  14. Well after having running and idling problems the complete second hand throttle body with sensors was changed. The has solved the running issues and it now idles and feel responsive again. Down side is it now struggles to start and needs you to keep pumping the throttle to start. Any one have any suggestion as to what to check?
  15. Never had experience with them myself but there is a lot of info on the MR2 forums about them and they don't sound good. According to peoples experiences they seem to just repaint the engine to make it look better and never actually open it up. Like I say though this is just what I have read.
  16. Ok stupidly after searching i have found what i think is the correct part numbers if some one can confirm: Top Clip: 90467-09093 x5 Bottom Clip: 90467-09096 x6
  17. Does anyone know the part numbers for the plastic screw clips that hold the bumper on? I need two sets of the ones that go under the rubber seal at the top of the bumper and the ones that go on the top of the bumper mouth itself. Isle of wight Toyota are not the greatest at finding parts so if any one has the part number it would be great.
  18. Could be a dumb question but is that twin Turbo'd with one on top rather than side by side?
  19. haha dont worry they are the first thing im taking off when i start working on it along with the stickers.
  20. Just thought id share with you my little project. I've been on here for a while know researching away buying parts. My friend has a Supra that has a few issues which i have been sorting but due to her job was not able to look after the car, I started using it a few months ago and getting it ready for her to use again. I had 2 MR2's and was happy with them until i started driving her car and fell in love with the way they feel to drive. Unfortunately at this point i knew it was the death of my MR2 project, the bits were all sold off to fund a supra for myself. I was on the lookout for a Manual N/A as im 24 so insurance isn't exactly the cheapest and also it is my daily driver so was unsure of TT running costs, i also preferred a white or black Supra. One big thing was i wanted a car with MOT and Tax that i could just drive away and use but then a White 1997 N/A manual popped up locally which i ended up buying with no mot or tax. The car had been stored in a garage for a few years and not driven since being purchased. Generally it was in good condition but was in need of a bit of love. The pictures below are of it on my drive and as you can see was covered in a thick layer of dust. Then after a quick hose over: The only real MOT issues are the cracked headlights which are yellow, the driver seatbelt is so lose its pointless and the windscreen is in 2 pieces as there is a crack from one side to the other. I however am not a fan of the veilside bumper and have sourced a standard which is going to be sprayed and it is generally messy. Ive also purchased all of the serviceable items as well. Another thing that i plan to remove is something i found when playing with the random buttons: So parts i have purchased: -S2000 Arial Conversion -Driver Seatbelt -Carpet without holes in -Boot Carpet -Heater Controls -Cambelt -Waterpump -Spark Plugs -Leads -Dizzy Cap and Rotor Arm -Air, Fuel, Oil filter -Coolant To Get: -Engine Oil -Gearbox oil -Diff Oil -Brake Fluid Anyone think of any other things i should sort while servicing? Later on i want to changes the alloys as they arnt my cup of tea but will do for now and im not 100% on what i want but am thinking rota Force drifts. Lastly i found the below magazine in the boot when i bought it which made me chuckle:
  21. Timlowthian

    Triumph

They all look good i keep looking at a Spitfire myself but being quite young (24) its not practical having a supra and another project on the go.
  22. That looks to me like a custom smoothed in spoiler but Ibrar one of the forum affiliates produces a very similar one below. Would look similar when smoothed in. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?265844-New-design-low-level-spoilers
  23. That is flexible! Has that got the ears taken off? I couldn't find an earless one on the MVP site?
  24. Project looks like its coming along quickly! When you have fitted those Focal's you will have to post your feelings as i am looking at getting them for mine and then paired with the 2 way versions in the back.
