1. I'm looking forward to it too mate. Would be good to get a ride in yours and see how a big power auto compares to a 6spd
2. I'm in!....... Although I have a feeling I will probably be the one picking up the beer tab, as I don't think SRD is gunna have mine finished by the time Luc comes over lol...... but I'm happy to buy beers for a day of Supra's, mates and banter
3. Best attitude to have mate..... you'll last a hell of a lot longer lol. Tracks are the best place to experiment and appreciate what the bike or yourself are really capable of. You should try a track day when you've got a little bit more experience under your belt. I'm sure you'd love it and it can really improve your riding, especially if you choose to take professional instruction on the day. Will hopefully get to meet up with you for a ride out at some point if you're up for it, as all my family live in Bognor Regis, so I'm always riding down through West Sussex
4. Very nice dude RIDE SAFE! So easy to get over confident when you're new and also never underestimate the stupidity of other road users....... always best to leave some 'talent' in reserve for evasive action if needed lol
5. Not yet mate, it's being shipped now and is due to arrive on Tuesday.
6. Just a quick update. Added to the goodies list for the build. Lee has put in an order for a new TRD LSD for me, to go into my large case diff and replace the standard Torsen LSD. The standard Torsen LSD unit is in good condition (I have pics from Lee) and I'll put a for sale ad up soon for anyone that wants or needs one. Also, picked this little beauty up at the weekend from a forum member who purchased it new, but has decided to go with something different for their build.... RPS strapless carbon triple plate clutch with chromoly steel flywheel. Should help to safely transmit all those ponies to my newly refreshed V160 My DC automotive custom single plate clutch which is rated to 760ft/lb of torque will also be going up for sale soon now I have the RPS. It's quiet and pedal stiffness is light. Would be great for someone who wants a strong clutch which can hold plenty of power, but doesn't want the noise or heavy pedal of a twin or triple plate clutch. Has very few miles on it since John installed it and managed to hold 812hhp and 700ft/lb without slipping.
7. Best of luck Chris and thanks again with all your help sorting my insurance out. You helped make the agreed value rigmarole a lot less painful
8. They're only doing 0.68, 0.81 and 0.96 A/R housing options for the 6870 at present Luc. Similar to you, I was gunna go for the 0.96 once they do a divided option, but having read a bit more about it and the 6870 test data from Sound Performance on Supra forums, I think I'm gunna go for the 0.81 with a 'H' compressor housing now. From the test data, they were saying that they'd only recommend the 0.96 option for a car running a stroker'd engine or lots of NOS. The 0.81 option seemed to give the best results for a 3.0 litre car.
9. No worries Jazz, happy to help where I can My name's Phil, Luke is my Surname lol
10. It's not paint. They clean all the components in an ultrasonic bath including the casing. So that's back to bare metal as it was from the factory The only other thing they do is spray the casing with a layer clear coat afterwards to prevent corrosion and to help retain that new look.
11. I think Jazz1 is considering having his box sent to Jacks for a rebuild now too. Is there anyone else here in the UK who has used Jacks already? Surely I can't be the only one?
12. Just got the photos through of my stage 3 gearbox rebuild that was done at Jacks Transmissions and all I can say is WOW! The box honestly looks like brand new now and the level of detail that's gone into the build is amazing. I highly recommend Jacks to anyone looking to freshen up their V160 or V161. Can't wait to get it back in the Sup and try it out now. I've read that apparently the ISF REM micro polishing that is done on the gears for a stage 3 build make shifts feel as smooth as a hot knife through butter Here's a link to the photos: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/3n72j6k2viaahfj/AABZyOEbdPhp2qEZik6BKSvDa?dl=0
13. Do it Luc! You know it makes sense! Lol Can't wait to get mine
14. Not long now Luc! As soon as the divided T4 option is available I'm having one, as I'm sure you are too. The test data looks great! 67mm-esque spool characteristics with better power output than a 7175. Definitely a game changer of a turbo What A/R housing are you going for Luc? Transmission is on it's way back to the UK from Jacks now too. Upgraded to a stage 3 build in the end which is why it took a bit longer. It was only a few hundred dollars extra and I've read good things from others who've had their rebuild done to this level, so I thought why not while it's over there and in bits lol. They are sending me pics of the rebuild process, so I'll put some up when I receive them so people can see what goes in to the stage 3 rebuild.
15. I'm having one of these to replace my GT47 as soon as they do a divided T4 option, can't wait!
16. I'd so be in but I doubt mine will be ready by then...... bloody precision turbo! :-( lol
17. Worked out at approx. £600 for the pair mrboomberang. One came from Japan and the other was sourced from Belgium (yes they are both for a RH drive car lol) I know it's a lot for lights, but they are brand new and genuine Toyota and I couldn't be bothered to wait for a mint second hand pair to come up. I think you'd probably get them a lot cheaper second hand if you were willing to wait or weren't too concerned about any minor cosmetic issues. Cheers Luc / Kaan. Can't wait to get em on. Should go well with the face lift rear clusters and give the car a fresh up to date look
18. Got some brand new face lift angry eyes from Mr. T via Keron ......
19. Give me a shout when you're over at SRD too Luc. I'll try and get over there to see you and Kaan and see how mines going too

Alcohol

I'm a bit of a cider drinker. Have any of you ever tried this?...... It's Biddenden Special Reserve Cider and is about £8 a bottle. It tastes bloody amazing and is seriously addictive! It's by far my favourite drink at the moment. It's a strong cider that's brewed in old Scottish whiskey barrels and so has a strong whiskey flavour. I thinks it's mostly sold in Kent as it's made here by a local brewery, but if you get the chance to try it, I seriously recommend it!
