  1. I don't see the problem.. it all boils down to re-sale. If evinX is planning to keep it a whiles, what does it matter... lol..that'll be it then. It was a cheap ol bike i learnt on.. i ratted the whole thing.. 'dusted' it with red oxide for effect and sprayed the wheels flouro green lol I dont think the sand down pre-next coat would cause too much jip.. just whether other paints react to it..hammerite is funny stuff. I have used it at work before and it's pulled off the old paint i was using it to cover...but that was the brush on gear..it's the Devils work lol
  2. FANTASTIC!! I love rat black!! If it was any other 15 yr old car you wouldn't think twice...go for it..it's just a car Out of interest..regarding the baby wipes thing...why can't you just wash with soapy water as per normal? The only problem i found when i ratted my old motor bikes was how easy it was to mark..like dragging a fingernail along it would leave a mark etc. Be interesting to see if you come across this also..i hope not though..but hey..you can just spray it away BANG..AND THE MARK IS GONE lol EDIT: One of the best cars i saw, was at a bike garage my mate worked at many years ago..many diff colours of paint and folks just dipped their hands in ..and the hand prints covered the car, sure it was an only banger of a car but it was cool
  3. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Window-Screens-UK-Insect-Mesh/dp/B001VCJTZS/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=diy&qid=1279524666&sr=8-4 The net doesn't need to cover the whole window...just the opening... Less you live in a Church..this may be wide enough..found by a quick search
  4. ..what do you mean by that, please? I like the NA-T idea but until reading this tread..cost has always seemed prohibitive in comparison to buying a TT these days..
  5. As much as the sound always advertises your presence.. I feel, imo..my car* seems to get more attention since I took the spoiler off. *Note I say the car..and not me lol
  6. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=72777 If you do feel brave!! Or try dropping TrickTT a PM. He's the fella made the brackets for the original group buy..you never know, he may have some laying around Good luck
  7. What he said..it's all good till its gets online then its SSDD
  8. ..I can't do Saturday either but, will keep an eye for the next one for deffo!! Have fun and dont forget to keep the legal front plate in the car at all times lol
  9. lol..yeah i know that...its a tad more resilient than celotex though Ah..that's fair play then Alfi...go for it..but check out the different makes then..if jabalite is cheaper for the same effect etc etc..why not
  10. That looks about the size of mine.. the can looks the same size..and im N/A!! Not for sale though..sorry.
  11. ..wouldn't a tree route get through celotex, or a derivative though? It's not very resistant to penetration..if you walk on it in boots you leave foot prints... Not that i have a better suggestion..other than maybe a concrete skin, under a butyl one...though, when i was a lad we used to have a pond that was just concrete lined. Depends how close the tree is, if a root can bust though an old stone sewer pipe a pond liner should not prove too difficult
  12. I can only speak from experience.. belkin never did it for me, had lots of probs..over heating mainly. Been using one of THESE for around 4 years with no bother what so ever. My laptop and PS3 both pick up an 80%+ strength signal through 2 1930's council house ground floor walls. Though it has gone up in price since i bought it but other versions are around i see Netgear ftw!! Oh..missed that bit lol
  13. Dan.. just a thought.. The gunmetal car lined to you for around the same money..from talkin to ya, once you get a soop you don't sound like you'll be parting with it for a while..why not buy one, like the linked, that's a tad less modified..and gradually make it your own over time? It's a worthy consideration...
  14. ..better to have low expectations and be pleasantly surprised than vice versa imo
  15. Hey good luck with that buddy.. I hope it lives up to the ad..looks lovely
  16. I'll always watch this, in part or full, if it's on
  17. ROFL what a crackin thread..that made i laugh How about a video from one of the Afgan boys..that sounds like a sight to see
  18. That's not wrong..It's Norfolk talk
  19. ...perhaps post it in this thread so we can all get an idea of the difference made?
  20. ..yeah, i think so. I went to the usual place I'd get wheel balancing etc done (National Tyres), when I asked about getting the geometry done..they recommended someone else.. My bud at Toyota just said he can do it..but the machine always sets one wheel of kilter..so i gave it a miss for the time being lol

    am i wrong?

...you only get one life..if you are not happy..move on. You may never know the truth of what happened...all you can do is decide whether you can live knowing that fact, hoping it will all work out...or not.
  22. .. I'll keep an eye on this... but i promise nothing lol
  23. That's awesome..looks lovely!! It's scary how the bottom has dropped out of this market of late...but the flip side is, now's the time to by one i guess lol
