  1. Sorry again.. i know it sounds extreme, but running the risk of your credit card details being stolen is even more extreme. Please try to get it wiped if you can. If you get really stuck or just cant afford the time with out your PC right now check here for more tools http://www.microsoft.com/security/malwareremove/default.aspx IT technical trainer within NHS. (Geek)
  2. ouch.. get well soon and look after that back.
  3. If your stuck just need a way to get up and running with a browser you could try downloading and installing a version of linux and boot into that until you can find someone to sort it out. That probably didnt make much sinse but you can have a look at http://linux.about.com/od/dist/gr/dstwubi.htm which may help
  4. not how way they work... they generally dig them self into one of your system files(not somewhere you can just delete stuff). p.s. please do not use the computer for any online banking. once your machine has been rebuilt change any passwords that you have typed on the computer since having the virus. Best to be safe and paranoid
  5. lol.. if you have got a restore cd/dvd that came with your computer, use that after you have backed-up your data. back-up to the web or CD rather than a usb device.
  6. Sorry to hear about the virus Supragirlie. I'm afraid the burn with fire is the best way(metaphorically speaking). Once a machine is infected it generally will not be safe to use again until wiped(formatted) and your operating system reinstalled. reason: Modern viruses, as a rule do not damage a computer as there is no money in that. they will try to rob your data, use your connection for denial of service attacks, or simply to propergate itself. Once they are on a system they will then attempt to bury them self into your core files and bring in some friends. Viruses deletion is not as effective as they would like you to believe and will generally always be leaving something behind so they continue to use your system. So although you're Anti-virus program has picked up one such problem there maybe more now that it is not picking up. Back-up as much data as you can, and call that friend who knows about computers to wipe and re-install.

  10. Fair point, i have probably been watching to many sci-fi films again. there glowy lights always look good Its complete stock car, just need a shiny new T for her nose then.
  11. When i brought my car it was missing its T badge from her nose. Looks like it had been pinched, i have been holding of replacing the badge until i get some scratches sorted out.In the mean time I have an idea though, would it be possible to have one that is clear plastic, painted silver on the underside so in the day time it would like like an average badge, and then from where the studs go though a blue LED light source, so at night it would have a slight glow. so.... Is it possible to get a clear badge? (i maybe able to make one thanks to internets) Would it be legal? Am i being stupid?
  12. Count me in if you can. although i only run a stock black n/a would love to come along if you don't mind. I will get to work with the polish! (the car cleaning stuff not the nation)
  13. Got my C+E while in the army, about 5 years ago or so... its not much harder the only bit that can catch you out is the coupling/decoupling. apart from that your using all the same skills. best do it while your still fresh and have not building up your bad habits.
  14. im clearly not pulling hard enough then, think something must of got stuck down the side of it.. i will try again at lunch.. thanks
