Hi all, Just an update. The CV that many of you helped me create got me a lot of interest, and on Monday, i got a job offer. In two weeks time i will be covering the IT for a large American firm in Crawley. The job is my dream geeky role, with plenty of travel(My induction is two weeks in America!) and I have almost doubled my yearly income. So thanks a lot guys, i think i owe a few drinks. On a side note, i need a cheap cheap daily driver.

I have to admit to ending up in on some strange roads, while blindly following my sat nav's directions. This was a while ago while working nights travelling across the country. Twice i nearly drove into a river because the sat nav thought i was smart enough to realise that cars don't float unless they get on the ferry(Ha almost proved it wrong). And while in Wales, i ended up on a dirt track at the top of a very big hill at night in the fog. Had to stop mainly because of the sheep thinking i brought them food. None of them are perfect, they are getting better slowly. I tend to follow road signs until i get close to a location and then let the sat nav bring me in.

You need it to boot of the CD. Stick the disk in and should ask "Press and key to boot from CD" you will want to do that. If it does not ask you that, you will want to check the boot options in the BIOS.

I'm liking the idea of V8 power delivery. Recent discussions have got me seriously considering.

You might be lucky with a self recovery option. When the computer boots and you get the BIOS post screen. Is there an option that says something like press F10 for recovery . What make is it?

If your on win7 or vista, pick up microsoft security essentials. If you have got something already, and use your machine to make card payments or do online banking i would wipe it and start again, its the only way you have any thought of guarantee that your clear(and even then :-\ ). The first bit of malware is often just used as a gateway to bring in other items.

Goto File -> Archive in there, choose the very top of the folders (should say something like your name and mailbox). Tick the include items not to auto archive, then choose an oldest date(set to the 1900's to get everything) -> Choose where you want it to be archived too (i.e. Memory stick) and wala! Depending on the size of mailbox this could take a while.

I will Third the idea of backing up. Export all the mailbox (including contacts/calendar/Journal) to a PST. then re-import them after the upgrade.

Your best chance is that your plasma has a 3.5mm head phone style jack to input sound(if its suitable to use at the same time as VGA it will be near it. So if you can get a 3.5mm from your headphone sockt on laptop to 3.5mm on the TV cable you will probably find that may do the job.
