I have the halford 3 ton axel stands & can't fault them. Although i find mysef using my other set more as they are ratchet stands & the halfords set you will have to pull the pin out & in each time for use, but that's just me being lazy lol.

It would be better WIV a different steering wheel. Must be different over there because over here you fail the NCT without door handles. Apart from that & what sounds to be a useless turbo conversion it's not that bad, in fairness there looks to have been effort put into it.

Aristo huh it's a LEVIN & it's class & would beat the fastest................. anyway No Jim that is only on the NCT computer, on the tax book it says date of first register 1997. I have seen this car & it is a facelift & tbh it is very nice. When i spoke to the guy i'm sure he told me he imported it himself, he definitely told me it was 2002. This was a week or 2 befor the meet up in Newcastle.

No mate AFAIK it was only the fq400 internals which were forged. Yeah there are alot of evos running 400bhp on stock turbo, the 9 has the better turbo than all its predecessors so it's quite a common upgrade. Anyway one thing i think we can agree on is an Evo will never be a Supra

Agreed a stock fq360 will hold its money but when they are modded they are all the same. The gsr has the same internals as the fq360, the only difference is bolt on parts & a remap. Also there was never a fq400 in a 9 only the 8 & 10. The highest spec 9 was the fq360, basically 400/400 to an evo is like BPU to a Supra.

I agree if leaving it standard but if your going to mod one i would buy a stock GSR & mod it to 400/400. You will do this & have change from what you would have spent on a fq360.

Where about in the country are you? If you want i can come threw to mullingar to have a look at it with you. I wouldn't worry about history really, it's very easy to fake history. I am surprised it's had a new clutch with so little miles. I also know a very good ex Toyota mechanic from mullingar who works for himself years now, he has worked with a few supras now including a single turbo. If you want his number i will pm you. You could give him a call & ask him to put it up on his lift & give it a check over for piece of mind.

Yeah westmeath, i am 99.9% this is the one from mullingar. That is a great price aswell.

Is it a grey colour? I know a grey or silver 02 supra tt6 from mullingar, not seen it around for a while but had a good look at it last year & it was mint. Chatting to the owner & he had cleared it but was waiting to put the plates on so was driving it on jap plates which i thought added to it but if this is the same car then it was mint when i seen it, also i never seen it over 60mph.

I think it's going to be more what you like the feel off. If it was me it would be Evo every time. I took a test drive in a 03 impreza just to see how it compared to our Evo 7 & found the Subaru softer shocks & seats but the evo holds you very well & i find the Evo rather nice to drive. Power wise Evo all day long, now saying that the Subaru was stock (not even an uprated exhaust) & our Evo has 320bhp. Handling again Evo wins but on the road it would be hard to beat either. Fuel wise don't expect much more than 350km to a tank, the 9 does have a little bigger tank than the 7 but nothing to sing about & don't think there is much between the Evo & Subaru in fuel terms. Service wise i think the Subaru has longer service intervals, not sure what they are but the Evo needs an oil change every 4500 miles. Can't think of much more really, oh yeah AYC don't worry about what you read on the net. There is a clutch pack which the oil needs changing about once a year or every 10,000miles which is only gear oil. The pump part is Dexron 3 but only needs done every 45000miles but will need bled out so a specialist is your best bet for this.

Sorry mate but that is not correct. There is an IS200d (150 bhp) with a 2 litre diesel engine from the avensis.
