  1. I had to replace the water pump on mine the other day, and the crank pulley bolt was loose! Pretty scary really, they are supposed to be 300 lbft torques arent they. Its tight now though lol.
  2. Update: Number 2 is sorted, got the other shocker on, and no more knocking, really happy now, as its been knocking since i had it. It like driving a different car now. All sorted now, cheers for all the help and replies
  3. Update: Number 1 is sorted, new water pump fitted and tested, all ok now. Number 2 is half sorted, got the passenger shock on, just got the noisy drivers side to do tomorrow. Number 3, im going to leave it. For the amount of time it happens, its not worth looking into. Unless it gets more frequent. Number 4 sorted, got an OEM cam cover from Keron, good as new

  5. That would be excellent Ric, if you can find it lol.
  6. Hi, Im in need of a N/A cooling fan, as mine has 2 broken fins. Had a look on ToyoDIY and they are $105!! If anybody has one used, or knows where i can get a new one for under £50 please let me know. Cheers, Ash.
  7. I tired to glue the ring back in place, but it didnt work, so i just got my soldering iron out, and melted the plastic pins down so they covered the holes in the gaitor. 2 months later still going strong. Just an option if the ring doesnt work.
  8. I usually change gear at red line, just before the limiter kicks in. Obviously only when i want to go fast, everyday driving is 3k.
  9. lol theyre only £3 anyway!!

    Brake Lights

I found that my car also does this, and thought the same as you. They must do it normally.
  11. Ok i have decided to keep them, im not wanting to loose any more money on them. Im thinking about getting a small car for work within the next few months, so ill just put it in that.
  12. Hi, As the title says, just if by any chance anybody has a new set of top mounts, probably not, but worth a try before i go searching around the car shops. Cheers, Ash.
  13. I decided to fill the holes with black sealant and smooth it off lol. I thought there was no point paying for another, for it to be snapped off again, but i suppose you will need one for the missus. Try Toyota, brand new too!
  14. Excellent thread idea. Dash Switch Blanks: Pre Facelift: 55537-14020 - Left Blanking Piece 55538-14020 - Right and Centre Blanking Piece Facelift: 55537-14040 - Left Blanking Piece 55538-14030 - Right and Centre Blanking Piece.
  15. Had another look today, but now it doesnt appear to be leaking... Ill let you know if i need it in the future, cheers.
  16. I also require a cam cover for an n/a if you have one please. Preferably the standard black one.
  17. Will this kit help to fix a long wheezing noise when i turn the key lol. Or does my car have asthma.
  18. These are on my Supra, i just assumed they were fitted as standard, but the last owner must of fitted them, im happy with that lol.
  19. Ok so my car has a few problems, and im now feeling like i should sort them out, ive been putting off doing them for a while. Just thought id post on here so anybody can offer advice on suppliers or if anybody has anything i need for sale 1) The coolant keeps emptying itsself... found water dripping from the bottom of the water pump yesterday, so i think its that. Just got to confirm it tomorrow. David has one for £25 so i think im sorted with this one. 2) Drivers side knocking noise getting worse and worse as the months go on. Local garage has checked twice for anything loose, so they think its the shocks, so ill be requiring a pair of front shocks. Godfreys was £65 each plus VAT, so about £160, sound about right? 3) About twice a month i have had this problem occur. Its like a wheezing noise coming from the engine when i start the car up. It only lasts for about 2 seconds, and then starts. Could this be the starter motor contacts? I think Toyota do a starter motor repair kit dont they? Will this sort it? 4) When i bought the car, it had a green cam cover, so i sprayed it white, but over time, the white has cracked and now the green can be seen again. So last night i got the heat gun out, and intended on stripping both layers off, so i was back down to bare black plastic, but i got a bit carried away, and put too much heat on the words which say something like "Twin Cam 24 Valve" and managed to melt them down and generally mangle them with my scraper, so it now says "£$ #AM 24 Va%^e" and looks crap. Am i right in thinking this is the correct number "11304‑46091" Timing Belt No.3, from http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/p_J_1994_TOYOTA_SUPRA_JZA80-ALMVF_1106.html , and thats $93!! Hope somebody has a cheaper one lol. Hope you can help. Cheers, Ash.
  20. £75 + VAT from my local Godfrey Autoparts, and probably more from Toyota, So yours is looking like the one, im just going to confirm it IS the water pump leaking tomorrow, so ill let you know tomorrow
  21. Ill hang fire mate, Going to ring my local automotive shop to see how much a brand new one is. Yours is still an option though.
