  1. hi got a bit of an issue just brought the car out today first time since November and its chucking out white/blue smoke. defiantly oil. it seem to chuck it out while pottering around light throttle and on overrun. under load it doesn't seem bad at all but if you lift off and wait say 7-8 seconds you get a big cloud. so got home pulled the plugs out all fine nice and clean no sign of oil. did a compression test and all mint. 11-12 bar. so has any one had a similar problem, just thinking its probably a turbo. exhaust stems seals possibly. im not to common with supras but the first turbo does seem a bit noisy. i cant remember what the car was like before plus it was the day i bought it so i was just getting used to it. car is a bpu 1996 rz tt6 80k on the clock also what sort of oil pressure are these running. 8-9 bar when cold light throttle. when warm getting 7 bar at 3k that normal. just seems a bit high to me dont know if a prv is stuck or something cheers for your help antno
  2. Does any one know who can map the f con silver piggy back ecu. Or know how to find the software. Cheers antno
  3. It's just bad practice to turn the steering wheel while the car is stationary. Probs won't have the slightest problem. Mine did take about 30 mins till I stoped Seeing bubbles but I suspect if I had a hot r888 on the front after 30 mins of turning there could be a slight flat spot. No saying you would do it on a hot tyre but in theory.
  4. i think the jacking up part is so you don't damage the tyre cheers
  5. The level was fine to start with just a bit weird why it decided to chuck out loads of fluid out of the cap. Its fine now just sat the mrs in there for half an hour just hope it doesn't do it again. Cheers
  6. I pay £1400 on my j spec tt6. I had a drink driving ban 4 years ago. Got 3 years no claims and I'm 23. I thought that was quiet reasonably as I pay 900 on the passat estate.
  7. Any one had a similar fault where the fluid leaks out of the cap after the car being stood for a while. To be fair the rubber in the cap is more like plastic.
  8. Any tips or just work shop manual way.
  9. I know but Ive lost say quarter of a litre so I thought it would take 100ml straight away Na no bubbles at all. Think I've just got an air lock. Cheers
  10. Sorry forgot to mention its coming out of the cap
  11. The car hasnt run for a while and it decided to piss fluid out of the power steering reservoir. I have removed the air con and was waiting for bits to arrive. Before I put the belt back on I span the pump and it took a few spins before it felt like it was moving fluid. Any way put the belt on fired it up and it wined. Brimmed the reservoir and tried to bleed the system but it wouldn't take any Fluid. Also had that vacuum of that attaches to the pump what does that do. I have my bov t into it. Any one had a similar problem. I can't remember it whining before. It just doesn't sound right Cheers antno

  17. Ye it's fine now just it's unpredictable when it will fail
  18. Hi I've got a tt6 and have taken the front pulley off. It has a small crack around the rubber dampened bit. I know while it's off it's probs best to change it but do most people change them when they start slipping rather when they start cracking. It's only done 50k but is 16 years old? Cheers antno
  19. Bonnet for sale again due to timewaster
  20. Porsche factory used to do it back in the day on there race car rods. Just from half way down the main body of the rod to the little end. Think it was to do with surface blemishes causing cracks. I suppose today's forging methods are better than the 60s 70s and it's not required.
