  1. Who does oversized alternator pulleys?
  2. Make sure they can breath whilst being charged.
  3. Sometimes aftermarket pads don't fit the calliper perfectly. When you apply the brake they slide backwards and forwards depending on direction of travel. Are you running a std pad?
  4. Fabric is fine. I can't remember if the fitting is different to accommodate the different pipe. Look on the Goodridge website or earl's fittings.
  5. If they do fit the wastegate at the front controls both turbos together. The rear waste gate won't do anything if you run in twin mode. Also you will have to change the fuelling to suit the new set up
  6. I thought the USdm turbos were the same as the uk spec and if they are they won't fit a jdm head. The exhaust flange is different
  7. That's bigger bolt on the front m16 I think not m14. Ye I bought all brand new bits from Toyota. Bolt with camber washer other camber washer new nut and washer. That one went after i rolled the other side. Torque wrench has just been re calibrated as well. Maybe it's the copper slip and I should be using oil.
  8. Ye I know everything jap is fucking tight. It's also because its only 2/3rds of a thread. Looks like its homemade bolts for Santa pod now then.
  9. Hi Just wondering what people are tightening the rear camber bolts to. Book figure is 184nm but I've just had a brand new bolt roll its thread. I'm going off the us manual. Does the uk and jap car have different size/grade bolt? That's 2 now bloody thing. One old one new Cheers
  10. Sorted it now the indirect way. We have angle plates at work so used them. Interesting read though about caster http://www.motoiq.com/magazine_articles/id/1982/the-ultimate-handling-guide-part-8-understanding-your-caster-king-pin-inclination-and-scrub.aspx
  11. I got an OEM one through Chris Wilson very pleased with quality and price plus it had the cooler for the auto box built in.
  12. I have actually just been reading that. Next thing will be to measure the degrees the wheel has turnedp
  13. Hello Just wondering where the best place to pic up on to measure caster. I've got access to a long acre camber/caster digi gauge but I don't know if I'm going to need to make a jig so I can get it in exactly the same place every time. I'm not to keen in these lazer alignment jobbies as everyone I've asked has had bad experiences with them. Cheers antno
  14. Rob walker engineering. They weld up heads that look scrap. Then machine them to fit seats guides ect. All the old Subaru wrc stuff that came from Japan.
  15. Sorry to hijack your thread but is the back of the std fuel rail m12x1.25 as well? Cheers Anthony
  16. Anyone replaced there standard pulley with an ati one and still has aircon?
  17. Hello Anyone know if there is someone who rebuilds the stepper motor on the hks evc's? Cheers antno
  18. What size belt do you use if you just replace the std pulley for a ati one and leave every thing else std. Cheers
  19. I'm not sure about that. I have removed the compressor and pulley completely but the ati crank pulley is larger than the std one so takes up the slack. But not enough for the std belt. Plus now I thought about it, it must change the speed of the belt by a lot I would of thought. Anyone know how much you can get away with over speeding the water pump , pas pump and alternator?
  20. I'm running without aircon and with the larger ati crank pulley. I was advised to use the std size belt (6pk1936) but this doesn't end up with the marks in the right place on the tensioner marks. It's too long basically. Would a 1926 belt work. The belt is brand new by the way. Does anyone else use the same combination of pulleys?
  21. What fuse have you removed and where is is? I have now removed the ac clutch relay.
  22. If you auxiliary fan comes on when your engine is cold then you need to connect two wires where the ac pressure switch was. It's around the abs pump on a rhd car. I think it is wires number 2+3 but check the workshop manual. This will allow just the coolant temp switch to operate the fan. I haven't removed any relays yet so try that first. Also does anyone know if you can remove the ac amplifier with no affect to any other systems in the car? Cheers antno
  23. Is there enough room to fit a time-sert or heli-coil to repair the thread?
  24. You haven't sucked a piece of rag in the engine and its blocked up the turbo. Or the turbo isn't spinning for some reason
