1st turbo has gone (TT), advice needed what to do next.

I had my turbos rebuilt/ reconditioned recently by CR Turbos ( http://www.crturbos.co.uk ), I cant shout their praises enough, they came back looking like new, with new Steel turbines and wheels etc, circa £800 for the pair inc Tax. or to get them rebuilt to stock is around £500. Dont forget you need your turbo gasket kit which is £150 from mr T, and your oil and coolant and then your labour for fitting them.. it cost me £1300 in total for it all. The only reservation I have about second hand turbos is that you could be in the same boat 50 miles down the road hope this helps -

Welcome! More importantly can you afford to run a supra? I have spent well over 5k in the last year and thats just to bring it up to spec and doesn't include petrol and insurance..... BTW good luck!!

Hey all, im currently having my stock Jspec Tubbies reconditioned and have been asked if I would like them Hybridised. It seems that the majority on the forum believe that this is a pointless exercise. I just want to find out if there is any benefit from hybrid J-specs?? The car is currently a BPU '93 Jspec TT Auto with 40k on the clock, and I DON'T have an aftermarket ECU etc. Any thoughts or experiences greatfully recieved....

Trying to find out what tyres are good for fast road and track use.... What do you guys recommend? I was thinking Bridgestone Potenzas but if anyone know better please let me know? (or point me to the correct thread, search button is broken;)) Thanks

The turbos are being reconditioned and balanced by CR Turbos its the re fitting to the engine which i need the gaskets and bolts for...... *edit* BTW thanks so much forr your help I REALLY appreciate it, thats why I love this club

Hey all wondering if anyone can get hold of a diagram of the twin turbos preferably an exploded one like they have at Mr T's computer? Or even a list of part numbers of bolts and gaskets and the like. I am asking because I am having to refurbish my stock tubbies and may well need new bolts (Manifold etc)...... If anyone can help that maybe would have been through this procedure before......... Many thanks in advance, Fergus:)
