  1. With mine it was my fmic hose joiners werent tight enough, (maybe over time had loosened themselves due to constant expansion and contraction maybe) Anyway it was worse where they connect at the throttle body(inlet). I spoke to John (Dude) and he recommended I pressurise the system which i did ,(cheers DUDE) and I could here the air pi$$ing out. Also had a split hose at the back of the engine at the top I think its called egbv vsv . So tightened all intercooler hose joints and replaced the vacuum pipe and ran spot on after that with no nasty noises.
  2. I had a recent problem like this, you get the normal 'turbo whistle' from tubby 1 then about 3k revs or just before another strange noise comes in. Turned out I had a fair few boost leaks from the piping, once i located the leaks and put right everything back to normal. Hope its a cheap fix like this for you mate.
  3. Full set of turbo pipes £45 delivered NOW SOLD
  4. Alot depends also whether it was a six speed or auto transmission

  9. Good lad cheers mate, your just a fountain of supra knowledge aint ya lol.
  10. Nice one cheers mate. Yeah its definately not the water pump, its directly behind on that "upright stump" whatever thats called?? But i gotta drain the coolant of soon anyway when I finally get around to changing the turbos over!!! So will be as good a time as any.
  11. Yet again I can always rely on you bud!!! I noticed it and touched it straight away and it was very slightly wet, I took it out for a spin and obviously the heat had dispersed the water but I will check again tomorrow to see if its wet again. It looks like a PITA to get to, does it mean water pump off etc to get to the seals?
  12. After having a few turbo boosting issues I had the torch around the engine bay and came across this. What is this part, obviously i can see the water pump but there is coolant marks behind on that section. Now the temp guage on the dash always stays in the middle whether im in slow moving traffic or booting it so hasnt seemed to have affected the cooling capabilities yet but was wandering if anyone knew what would cause this and how to remedy it/easy/expensive fix or not? and whether this would likely to get worse and maybe cause over heating? Thanks guys
