  1. Very smart. I'm not a huge fan of the 'pods' to be honest, but the surround is very cool. Loving the week-long project too.
  2. Paint it. It looks TERRIBLE if left in black.
  3. I have K-Sports (356mm discs, 8-pot front / 4-pot rear) as an upgrade from stock UK specs and in my opinion they are exactly that - an upgrade. I have the standard discs with uprated pads and a braced master cylinder and they are infinitely better than the previous setup I had. Certainly I've never encountered a problem reigning in Suki's 700-odd bhp with them!
  4. Looks like a good meet! I'll get to one when the weather improves. PS No I'm not dead, in case you were wondering!
  5. Probably accurate too... In other news, my calendar arrived today. Can't argue with THAT for quick delivery! Great job to all involved.
  6. Not abroad (at least consistently), just stupidly busy. In my current role the official word is that "you're life is not your own for 14 weeks at a time" and it's entirely accurate! But I had to prioritise checking for / buying the new Club calendar!
  7. Ordered. I haven't been around for AGES so once again have missed out on the entry for pics, but it just wouldn't be right not having the Club Calendar on my wall.

    Oil

10w60 is too thick for a TT road car. In fact I was advised the same for my current set up too. 10w50 is the max you'd want to go to. I use Millers CFS NanoDrive in that very flavour now and Fuchs Silkolene before that.
  9. I don't 'get' stretched tyres. The car's handling MUST be compromised / dangerous as a result of doing it AND it looks sh!t as well, like you bought the wrong size and thought "oh well, it'll do..." Baffling.
  10. I think as long as nothing catches on your arches (wheel offset correct, etc) you're good to go. As I understand it wider tyres are better under all circumstances apart from driving through standing water where you have an increase in the chances of aquaplaning. To be honest though I find you have to screw the nut and take it easy in a powerful RWD car in wet conditions anyway...
  11. I decided to leave it as bare alloy to see how I get on with the under-engine shininess, but I got my SRD alloy engine undertray fitted earlier today along with conducting a well-deserved oil & filter change. I was hugely impressed with the fit and finish of this part - no messing around or re-drilling / cutting of anything, it just offered up perfectly first time and bolted into place like a stock part.
  12. Crackle black would be REAL attention to detail!
  13. Nope, definitely not... Hence the 16mpg! I don't do a huge number of motorway miles but when I do venture out for a lengthier journey and fancy a 'my-hair's-not-on-fire' cruise, the Syvecs motorway map increases (decreases? ) fuel consumption to the mid-twenties.
  14. I'm still umm-ing and ah-ing about this month's. Back to work on the Saturday morning...
  15. I got mine (D1 Spec alloy) from eBay. 18 months later and no problems at all.
  16. Sounds good to me. We'll talk numbers when I sort out my diff 'issues'... - - - Updated - - - True... But you can't take it with you!

and Great first post. Also, regarding this: GOOD CALL!!!
  18. This: is genius! :d :d My current average - according to my iPhone app - is 16.67mpg...
  19. So... Deal on the price of a full turbo-back ti exhaust system...?
