  1. They might be bud , those above are the ones that came up as Carrera 4S Recaros when I did a search myself. Though, thinking about it, I think they were flatter at the bottom? More like these: http://img.ca.cars.cozot.com/pics/ca/2011/08/21/2006-Porsche-911-CARRERA-4S-2006-20110821035031.jpg which also come up in my latest search! More searching shows these (which I'm pretty sure are in fact the right ones):- http://www.caporsche.net/images/carspreviouslysold/911/MexicoBlue06Sunroof/900w/39.jpg
  2. My boss has a Carrera 4S and gave me a run home from work on Friday. I noticed how much I liked the seats (both for comfort and also styling). I've found them online to be these: What I'm wondering is if they are available to buy (profile etc.) without the Porsche badging? I know that Recaro make OEM seats for many cars (Supras, DC2s etc.) but on their site they state: I was just curious as to whether anyone knew which ones the Porsche seats are? If they are even Recaros?! I originally wanted Brides but have been told many times of poor build quality for the price? The Recaro range looks pretty vast and seem to be rated highly. Any help greatly appreciated
  3. This makes me reeeeeeally want to ditch the clear lens prefacelifts and get brand new facelift headlights - they look excellent!
  4. For sale is my OEM prefacelift front bumper with bonded RMM front lip. The bumper is smoothed so there are no holes for the registration plate mount. The bumper and lip are currently in a high build white primer. https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/s720x720/301360_284345334924124_157593177599341_1024388_185772371_n.jpg https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/s720x720/317614_284345004924157_157593177599341_1024380_21625587_n.jpg https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/s720x720/297214_284345268257464_157593177599341_1024387_2057841476_n.jpg I am looking for an 040 white facelift front bumper to replace it. Failing that, an OEM bumper with an active front spoiler would also do the trick. I'm looking for £150 for my current configuration. If you have either of my desired options or something else to offer (preferably already 040 white) then either post here or send a PM my way Many thanks!
  5. What is the difference between a UK airbox and a regular prefacelift J-Spec TT one? Also curious as to the condition of the facelift lights
  6. I've never had an ignitor problem before, when my Supe failed to start it was the plugs. Though I've read of ignitor issues on here numerous times and it is so easy to change over that it is worth trying out
  7. If only I had £22k sitting under my bed! Lovely car dude! Best of luck
  8. If you have a friend that also has a Supra, maybe try his/her ignitor pack?
  9. James

    Supra Mirrors?

Never really noticed those before - they look great!
  10. Looks to be in good condition! Enjoy!
  11. Anything in particular I should be using for my W58 gearbox? It is mated to a 2JZ-GTE engine running just below BPU. Also, any recommendation on engine oil? Thanks!
  12. I prefer the look of a Supra to the look of a Vauxhall Cavalier with a spoiler.
  13. Can you PM me a price for your manual gear surround please?
  14. I really want a Murcielago, but I would never kit out an MR2 to pretend I had one
  15. Pretty straightforward, as above just cut back the dust shields a bit
  16. The pictures on page 1 make me want a Trial rear again! Should look awesome! Nice part and colour choice
  17. That sounds fair enough I thought your car was silver? Or do you have a multicolour theme going on/bought a new Supe since last month?
  18. I love the look of the lip and active spoiler painted gloss black! Gives me ideas for mine, but probably wouldn't work right on a white car! Best of luck with the sale
  19. The SRD 2 row fits perfectly with Greddy pipework. That allows a stock airbox to run with it too. Great intercoolers, I'm very pleased with mine.
  20. Can you PM me pictures of the condition etc. and a price if you would sell it outright? Thanks
  21. The taxing worked in such a way relating to displacement until 2001 I believe. For example, taxing a pre-2001 Supra TT (3.0 FI) would be the same as taxing a Civic EK9 (1.6 NA) as the last banding stopped at 1600cc. In other words anything pre 2001 (and post something, I forget what year) that are 1600cc or above cost the same to tax. Hopefully someone can confirm/correct that. I'm around £210/£215 on mine for a year. Can't remember which.
  22. Did you go for the 17 and 18 setup? Very envious! I think those are some of the nicest wheels and I wish to put them onto my white SZ-TT
  23. So the 'Turbo' badge comes as 'Supra Turbo' all together? I'd like to get one of these once I get my tailgate resprayed. How much was it?
  24. I made a mistake and had a bump in the wet due to a lapse of paying attention to the traffic (I was approaching on a wet, cobbled bridge. I was looking in my side view mirror to get moved into the left lane and looked forward to see cars backed up a little in front of me at a set of lights). It would have happened in a 1.0 Micra if I was in one of those, rather than being fault of the Supra in my instance (in my opinion, of course). Apart from that one time, I'm happy enough driving in the rain. Obviously the conditions change the way in which things can happen, but an assessment in advance of attempting anything stupid prevents problems from arising. At the end of the day, I could put the foot to the floor in the dry from zero boost to get a huge kick in 2nd, I won't in the wet as I know it won't go smoothly like it does in the dry. You don't put foot to the floor when approaching a 90 degree bend the same as you do on a huge clear straight. You assess the conditions before acting, exactly as you should in the wet. It isn't a hard concept to comprehend
