  1. I've generally used the Sainsburys 97. Sainsburys has always been the cheapest and it's convenient for me There's a Tesco a wee bit further out and it does 99, will have to try it
  2. Had a few 911 Turbos (996) roar past me of late - sound and look amazing! Go like stink too!
  3. Yeah I'm good mates with Marc(AB10) and he did exactly this. Seems to have worked out great
  4. Yeah man apologies for asking, I had a search for stuff on singles from NA but didn't find something as straight cut in defining the difference between both routes. That's what I was wondering, is it much easier to start with a TT base and expand on that than going NA and replacing components from then on (figured most of the stuff from the TT would be getting upgraded anyway, so as Scotster was suggesting, the different base spec would be irrelevant for the most part? Asking as I don't know, rather than debating your suggestion ). It's not really that I intend on doing it cheaply, simply as I said in the paragraph just before this one (I think ). Thanks very much for the insight thus far though, much appreciated
  5. I don't know what my ultimate budget will be, more looking into the pros and cons of what would be the best way to go about it As a round number I'd say circa 500bhp but ideally it'd still be as near usable as stock that I wasn't limiting my use completely If I went for a facelift SZ-R I'd get the 6spd stock so the 5 wouldn't be an issue in that aspect You're right Rick, not yet, but I'm just trying to investigate my options for when the time comes
  6. Looking into the feasability of both of these and it has me wondering - is it completely pointless to go from NA-single rather than starting off with a TT and taking it from there? Obviously a NA would be cheaper to come by in good condition and low milage (more probable to come by aswell I'd reckon ) and then that could be single turb'd from there. Would that end up skinning me more than just finding a tasty TT and then working with that? My train of thought is that if fuel rails, injectors, manifold, ECU etc. etc. are all being changed anyway, then would I not be aswell to start with the NA? My confusion and lack of total insight into this is what has me posting the query Apologies if this is a repost - just link me to an appropriate thread if so (link to the search function doesn't count () Thanks people
  7. I like 6R4s, but that looks more like a Pug 205 that crashed into a Clio V6 and Halfords rebuilt them blended, and badly. :\ Sorry, anyway...not for me that one.
  8. Blitz skirts would work. What has been done under the bonnet already? That's where I'd put the majority of the money if ya like the current styling. If ya like the VS look but love, say, Ridox, what would you rather have:- VS with £2k of performance upgrades Ridox with current performance
  9. My two most recent ex's have said "You love Supras more than me don't you? If you had to pick one, which would it be?" I found it strange hearing that the second time! Haha. The first thing that comes to mind is "well, the Supra is ahead straight away because it doesn't feel a need to ask". Best bit is, I don't have a Supe yet, not til next year hahaha!
  10. All personal taste and all that, but I think I was just sick. :\
  11. I'm a wee bit slow as I only just noticed this thread now! To the above quote... oh dear! Alot (and I mean ALOT) of people I know have no taste (yes, it's all personal preference, but I'm the one on this forum so I'm right ) and think Supras are dated and look crap etc. etc. and would take their Imprezas any day and so on. I can vouch for myself and Marc(AB10) in that it's definitely not true for all I'm in awe of all Supras I see, just love the lines, the sound of the straight 6. Though, not taking your quote completely out of proportions - you did say "many" meaning not all, which is good
  12. They give me a kinda similar vibe to the wheels I have on my Golf. Marmite-tastic! I like mine. Not keen on those!
  13. Can't believe you didn't identify what the noise was. Pfft.
  14. Very informative thread for still staying simplistic. Good job
  15. James

    future meet?

Cheers Keiran for the kindness though Shall see ya there if all goes to plan! Lovely stuff! Lets not talk about snow driving ok
  16. James

    future meet?

I'll hopefully chum up Marc for this as I'm car-less at the mo. Exams finish on the 16th
  17. Lewis spotted the two of ya in his Evo yesterday too
  18. Was good to meet people, great crowd! Shame I'm Supra-less for now! Definitely count me in though if making it a regular occurrence
  19. I'll see if my mate Lewis wants to come too. Marc, he is Leith's bro - white Evo V
  20. I dunno, just not keen on them!
  21. Looking to buy in the next few months and hoping that someone is intending to sell! Starting from '96 would be good to be honest, not particularly hoping for a '98 or whatnot! As long as there aren't silly numbers of miles! Would like as standard as possible! Do NOT want the OEM skirts or spats! Let me know if you are planning on offloading, as I NEED to join this club properly! Thanks, James
