I decided that I'd rather have my outgoings (on the car) to incomings ratio to stay the same as it is just now, and that ain't happening if I go for a Supe now Also, insurance will be better by then too, and I'll have more money to be able to do as I wish to to the car too Look forward to seeing people at meets! Even if I do appear in a P.O.S. Golf for now lol

Yeah I'm just 20 and I'm quoted £1100 fully comp on a UK spec TT with an estimated 7000 miles/year and that's with the car parked on the street. Insurance is a straaaaange thing!

Right, found some UK spec autos (been doing alot of reading) and it seems that - as long as I give one a goooooooood look over prior and am happy - I'll have a UK auto by the start of April. Insurance being fully correct (no glitches or anything like I've had sometimes!) fully comp at £1100.06 I don't have tonnes to spend to get as perfect an example as I want but will need to make sure it's good enough

I always assumed that out of the factory pulling with 225 at the fly, the N/A would be just a shade over 7 seconds. Over time and little losses (for example, 215 at the fly) I'd expect mid 7s on a goooooooood run. TT's I always was under the impression (again the running with 'full' power of 325 @ fly) were 4.9 - 5.2? As for this argument, without proper timing gear then I'm sticking with what my thoughts currently are But what do I know? As my title says, I'm just a newbie

Don't know if this is the correct section to be posting these pics (I couldn't find any other, more suitable sections however!). Also, before I actually get on topic, FAO moderators - if you want to remove some of the pics cos there are too many, please do. Don't wanna cause any trouble! Anyway - from a couple of outings to Crail I'd taken plenty pics. As I'm a Supra lover, a decent amount of these pictures were of Supes! There is one recurring car that I took tonnes of pics of so you'll see that one a shedload of times! I've also uploaded a video of this Supra you'll see in most of the pics on the 1/4 mile strip with plenty backfiring! Anyways, enough blabbing and onto the pics! (Yes, his door isn't shut properly. Ran the 1/4 like that too!) This pic here is from Sainsburys petrol station in Aberdeen though, had to act fast and take the pic on my phone! You have to explain nothing to me mate! I know it all to well! All the case is for me is that I'm gonna be either an SZ or SZ-R because I can't afford a UK Spec or RZ (JDM TT) to buy outright. I KNOW the insurance on UK TT is less than a JDM NA but it's twice the price to buy the UK TT so fu*k that! :lol I'll cya when an RZ is 6k

I'm slightly confused by this. Well, not really as I know what the case is I guess All NA models are imports. The UK models were all TT. So if you're looking for a NA, it's gonna be import regardless Then you'll just have to decide if you wanna go manual or auto.

I dunno dudes it certainly is strange and rather reasonable. There doesn't seem to be a fantastic level of consistency but that's maybe just my luck on this occassion! I know that the imports are more expensive regardless of model it seems (in comparison to a UK TT) but for those comparing my quote + age + no claims to theirs, just remember it's for an SZ, not an RZ if that's a help Fingers crossed that when I phone up to pay for it that it's being nice to me

Holy christ! I'm less than that on my Golf 1.4 just now (with Elephant). Just been doing some more quotes and as of April (2 years no claims as of the end of March) it's saying ~£1050 from Bell. I'll be more of a plausible member of this site soon! Especially seeing as it's the owners club.

Right, my 2 years no claims award will be with me on the 28th of March. Just checked quotes for an SZ (I'm 19 just now, 20 in February) and if I was buying right now I'm gonna be £1700 fully comp. Changed it to say that I had 2 years no claims instead and it dropped to £1050 fully comp. Sorted! Definitely gonna be joining the Supra club soon! Now to find the right one! As long as it's standard or pretty much standard then I'll be happy. Would prefer to add my own touches to it

I'm well aware of the regular Veilside and Do Luck front ends. Also seen the Bomex one (which is probably the most similar I can pick out) but I'm curious as to which brand produces this front end for the Supra? I think it looks awesome!
