  1. Thats just a stupid thing to say. Yes he is holding back the spending but doesn't mean he should be gone. He's done a lot for the club and had a lot of success but getting rid of Wenger would be a huge mistake IMO. Ive been an Arsenal supporter for 15 years and this is the only time i've seen such a weak performance. I felt sorry for Jenkinson, he had a lot to deal with on his own and with his lack of experience I defiantly think he should of had a lot more support than he got. Overall though a very weak performance.
  2. Christ there's going to be NO UK spec's left in the country at this rate!
  3. I think Jagman's hit the nail on the head with this one. I cant see it being the 02 sensor's that cause this same problem after fitting a manifold more like the design of actual manifold itself.
  4. Dude will you quit worrying about busting your box! You'll kill the clutch or something else before that.
  5. He did say the W58. Want to strengthen it thats what you need.
  6. Turn's out nitrous wasn't used on the run which makes it doubly impressive. http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?517315-Stock-Twins-Into-the-10-s-with-a-6-speed&highlight=.
  7. Full drag wheel setup, standalone ecu with 2 step and full BPU mods but bare in mind the US spec supra has steel turbo's like the UK so im not sure if J specs would cut it. Im gonna stick my neck out here and say nitrous was probably used as well.
  8. And I got it all on video. How I laughed hard at that Why stop there. Why not go for high 10s and yes it has been done
  9. Not really. Your only putting off the inevitable. To make a W58 strong you need all new internals that are designed to take the abuse. Something like this. http://www.ppgearbox.com.au/page.asp?productid=42
  10. It is a serious pain in the arse to do trust me . Bearing issues are more a wear and tear thing IMO although i wont rule out some failures were down to accelerated wear from stress on the original bearings. When paired with a TT engine that produces twice the torque the box is rated to then your asking for trouble as I and Damien said the gears are not substantial enough to take the torque they will be subjected to. Dr Doom found that out the hard way. He's gone through more W58's than anyone else and I dread to think what the insides looked like. Point being subjected to abuse after a short while they will grenade themselves.
  11. You would have to completely dismantle the transmission to this point before you could treat it so unless your a handy engineer with the Red Toyota manual or know a really good friend I cant see the process being free The Achilles heal is the gears themselves. There just not beefy enough to handle huge torque so treating the gears is only putting off the inevitable for a little longer IMO.
  12. I'm probably going to say 300 + maybe? Its a fine art shaping CF like that.
  13. Cause they look PANTS and much better shaved.
  14. I think its more to do with it being fashionable than anything tbh oh and for bragging rights. I could think of plenty better things id rather spend my money on.
  15. Remember this is an INTEREST thread only. I am still not 100% i want to do this!
  16. I know but Ill have a spare to flog as well Again this ISNT set in stone yet. The main things that must sell are the shell (even if its for cheap), engine and gearbox as I dont want to be sat on parts. If there is lack of interest for these parts then the car stays in one piece! Also I will NOT be parting with these things for peanuts either.
  17. So i've had a further think about this and ive decided i may break it PROVIDING im not going to be sat on parts or stuck with a shell. The main things that would be up for sale are the following. Headlamps and tail lights (supplied with all wiring and relays for the fog light mod). Genuine Clear front indicators. Genuine phillips 4000k HID kit. J spec only. All interior trim excluding seats. Front and rear focal speakers supplied with brackets, crossovers and tweeters. Engine (NA). W58 gearbox conversion minus the tunnel. I may throw in the manual clocks and loom but rest assured it wont be for cheap. Clutch will NOT be included. Uprated ACT NA clutch, rated for 250ft lbs. Ideal for a track NA. Full German bilstein suspension setup with matching bilstein springs. 2nd decat pipe. Stock 17s without tyres. Almost new denso 02 sensors (roughly 500 miles covered) Full set of J spec brakes with CW fast road pads. (Barely worn) There's probably a few other bits but if I have enough interest in the parts listed I may break it otherwise ill keep hold of it and eventually re shell.
  18. You would need to change the ring and pinion from a UK spec to your J spec.
