  1. That's one hell of a 67mm! Does this mean you'll be in the market for the billet version soon?
  2. Get yourself a set of stock 17s. Put the rears on the front and get the front one's widened to 11" then slap some 315s on them with some meaty side walls. Should have a fair amount of grip then!
  3. Yeah they were all connected to the auto shifter originally.
  4. Well there goes my theory Ill just close the door behind me....
  5. I'm probably wrong and there always there on each car but I do know there for the auto box that I know for certain
  6. Look at the trans axle code on the chassis plate on the drivers wing under the bonnet. If it was a 6 speed from factory it will have v161 or v160. The only reason i though this is i did a manual conversion on mine and have those 3 wires left where as the manual cars ive looked at do not seem to have these unless there tied right back but then again they were pre facelifts.
  7. You can TRD diffs for the smaller casing
  8. I think he means he doesn't want the concept copying before he's done it as he see's it has his idea?
  9. Do YOU really need a big case diff? Wouldn't you be better off just pulling the torsen out and putting in a TRD or are you more concerned about cracking the case?
  10. Come on spill If its that unique of an idea then the masses aren't going to jump on the band wagon until its tried and tested!
  11. Technically speaking on factory manual cars those plugs are not present which suggests to me its had a manual conversion.
  12. Idea's like what exactly? I noticed the twin IC idea and im sorry to say its not a new idea

  14. I wasn't implying your car is slow but with the lack of turbo, going off your build thread, and the length of the gears its will take ages to get up to speed. I also hope your internals are strong enough to turn 10k if that is what your planning.
  15. I've always said when the time comes I want to go out in style. What better way than ploughing through a barrier backwards on fire
  16. So your revving a v8 to 10000rpm and want to crack 100 in second? That thing will feel slow as hell if that's the case IMO
  17. You a really big bar to pull the suspension right down so get yourself an extra body. The easier/alternative way is indeed removing the top wishbone which isn't hard at all. In fact it makes it much easier IMO.
  18. Well remembered! I've actually made some progress on that front.
  19. Main things I want to do are: Master the suspension. Improve and refine aerodynamics. Get the weight down to around 1350KG. Twin side mount IC's DBW ITB's Build a unique long rod/revy and responsive engine using the lightest parts available. Get it round the ring in under 8 minutes.
  20. Its not difficult if your handy with electrics as you will need to do some wiring to the 1JZ engine loom to make it run and work with the rest of the original loom. You may need to change the sump as well but that's not a hard task.
  21. Even the 1JZ is a better engine than the RB26 IMO. There a lot cheaper than a 2JZ.
