  1. I wish I had got some, costing me best part of £400 for mine to be put right. Needless to say I be getting him some before he starts going back out
  2. Know exactly how you feel, I am still feeling a little lost and helpless too at mo after my Cat was hit by a car about 2 weeks ago. He is still back and forth to Vet and on Thursday he has to have another Op to have his Tail removed Bad times. Hope your Cat is better soon mate x
  3. With you on that one, other then that I just want my Cat to get better now after spending the best part of £400 on him and no more expenses for a few weeks would be welcome
  4. LOL, not at the moment no will give him a chance to figure that one out. But he prolly won't be landing on his feet but many Cat's live without tails quite happy and I am sure he will too.
  5. LOL, I only have one Cat but I am sure he will be in the Tree not long after it goes up, especially since I bought baubles with bells in them :o
  6. Nice Tree LOL, that is exactly what I fear will happen to my Tree and I am unsure if I should put it up maybe tonight before my Cat has another Operation so hopefully the Tree won't be interesting, or wait another week till after his op?? Hmmm, might decide later today but I actually bought a nice 6ft Tree this year as we have the room in the new house.
  7. Another week and another update: Mr.Binx has to go back to the Vet on Thursday this week to have his Tail amputated as it is dying from the tip up after he broke it in the accident Another week with the dreaded cone, oh joy. But he is alive and well and after this hopefully we can all move forward and be on the mend in time for x-mas. x
  8. Update for those who might be interested. Binx had his stitches out yesterday and seems a much happier boy now. He eats and walks about even jumped up on the Window-seal a few times :o Only problem remaining at the moment is the fact he doesn't really urinate very well, i.e. not even close to enough so his bladder isn't getting proper empty but he is also a bit bunged up the other end which I suppose could be adding to the problem. All in all, he is home, he is alive and he is still our beloved Binx, the rest will follow. Thanks again for all of your support and care, it helped a lout.
  9. Just spoken to the Vet and he needs to go in at 2pm to be looked over as he shouldn't be leaking like that. He has been castrated yes. His tray is easy accessible but he is also a bit solid with his poop so that could be giving him discomforts too.
  10. Quick question for those of you that replied to this and had Cats that had major trauma, accident, and /or operations. My Boy still doesn't eat but I am syringing him with liquids (water) and liquid special food from Vet, plus managed to get him to eat like 10 cat biscuits (tiny) out our hands, but he isn't peeing in his tray yet he keeps leaking urine where he lays down is this to be expected?? Vet never mentioned about this. He is on antibiotics so hopefully no bladder infection will form.
  11. The Twins "we can't sing for shit" are finally gone. Amen, to that
  12. Yep the Vet did give me the stuff you said about high proteine food which I syringe. I tried Tuna, Chicken, his own food and no use he don't want it but we did manage to hand feed him about 10 tiny bit's of his dry whiskas food followed by a syringe full of water. I don't mind syringe feeding him but he hates it and it is mega messy specially with the cone on his head, no choice tho.
  13. £330 all together which ain't to bad for his live. I will be getting some Insurance for him tho in the next week or so. During the night he had some poop and I woke up at 3am with his face right in mine and him puurrriiinngggg his absolute socks off lolol.
  14. Oh you got that right, the looks he is giving me are eviilll, lol. But he WILL love me again soon enough.
  15. Yeah, if only I could get him to eat now lol, got some stuff and syringes to feed him with, fun Oh and he has jumped on my bed to sleep and peed on it nice....
  16. Well Binx is home again this time with a cone and he seems to be settled all tho he is one sulky extremely pissed off Cat right now, but he is ALIVE. That is the main thing. The mess that is his rear leg where they had to cut to try and find a vein, then glued it Extremely pissed off
  17. Thanks, will look into that.
  18. I wouldn't know where to get one of those to be honest as we live in the sticks and pet supplies are far and few between down these ere parts. Well I will have to see what happens over night I spose.
  19. Scott that thing looks a bit more comfortable then the stupid thing mine has on lol. He has to keep the stitches in for another week yet and he will be left unattended for several hours a day. His wound is also not "small" its about 6-7 inches long, plus he has wounds on both his front legs and one rear as they desperately looked for a vein when he nearly didn't make it
  20. Well to say I am feeling gutted and guilty would be an understatement. I picked him up at 4pm this afternoon and brought him home with meds, instructions and cone to stop him going at stitches which incidentally he never touched while he was there. Long story short I had to take him back by 8pm because no sooner did I get him home he started licking and YANKING at his stitches almost removing the one out of his leg. Every time I put the Collar on him he started to freak out get stressed and hyperventilate (He never wears a Collar as he nearly strangled himself with one once) I totally didn't know what to do or how to stop him doing this so now he is back at the Vets for a night with a Collar on while they can monitor him. I feel like I mega failed him as he will prolly think he did something wrong and we abandoned him PS: My Hubby renamed him "Frankencat" as he looks horrific too poor soul, bald patches everywhere
  21. Morning Peeps, sorry didn't get chance to post an update last night. I phoned at 4.30pm yesterday and was told he hadn't eaten yet so they were not happy for him to leave at that point, but he did have some Milk which is a start. Have to ring in about an hour to find out what the news is, if he can come Home I am leaving work straight away to fetch him. Watch this space.
  22. Again thank you all for your support it's been helpful in coping and the decision making part. The op went ahead last night as the Vet couldn't wait any longer because he wouldn't have survived the night. The op has gone well and he made it through and is breathing on his own. This morning when the Vet spoke to me he was sitting up in his cage looking quite chirpy apparently. They asked me to call back at 4.30pm tonight and providing he is OK, has eaten and done his business they will let me bring him home. So happy ending hopefully....
  23. They want to wait 24 in the hope he stabilizes a bit more after the shock but might have to do tonight as he is very poorly. Thanks for all the support guys.
  24. Well please keep your fingers crossed as we just told the Vet to go ahead and Operate, I don't care how much it costs as long as he lives. Be a bummer if he doesn't tho
