Are the casting not different from a N/A? I did manage to fit a TT alternator to my old N/A once before and they were different. It took a bit of modifying to get it on!

I did have a Thor chip and mine did just the same. I ended up just taking it out and let it add up in kph. If you want it to take off the 110mph limit (I know some people dis-agree with me here) but I have had two Supras and both have worked just the same. Behind the odometer there is a pink wire. Cut this in half and the limiter doesnt work. Iv tried this on two N/As and 1 Twin Turbo. All work with no bad side effects.

The lap record is set my michael s around monaco at 1.24.4 ish. Hamilton and Vettle have both just put in a 1.14.2 in Q2, but they haven't mentioned anything about it. Why's that? Is Michaels record set during a race?

Yeah, got her running then took the battery terminal off and she dies... am I right in thinking that that means the alt isnt charging?

Yeah, thats what im worried about. How long do you think it would take to drain a battery thats not being charged?

Thanks Tuneraider, thats just what happened to me! So Updates: Battery fully recharged. Iv taken her for a spin and re-fueled. All seems fine after a 10 min blast but thats not really enough time to run the battery down if the alternator isnt charging is it? I have noticed that I have the little battery light displaying on the dash... does that mean that alt isnt working? If I managed to cook the alt, why on earth didnt the fuel blow?

A tip i picked up from my dad When you get a complicated phone system. just mash the key pad and you usually get put through to someone... then say "oh sorry im lost in your phone system, could you forward me to the ***** department please" ........works every time for me and its MUUUUCCCHHH faster

I really wouldnt bother mate. Mine was from fleebay and I had to make LOADS of alterations to get it to bit... id say not worth it.

Ok some updates... So I took the fuse out, which I tell you was not easy, the plastic was as fragile as paper!! hence the 2nd picture!! You can see that although the fuse is oxidized on the outside, its still well connected and not burnt. Do you think i cooked the battery which is why it isnt holding charge? I dont have an ammeter at the moment so I cant test the voltage when the engine is running.... any thoughts?
