  1. Date hasnt been set yet. Probably around the 13th Jan at 6pm for the first 20, then the next 10 on Saturday 17th Jan, and the next 10 on Friday 23rd Jan. That way everybody gets a fair stab at getting them. Lets not forget, there will be a Dragonballv2 in 2015 too, going back to Spa. So if anybody misses it they can get in on that run instead.
  2. We will be leaving Ashford Eureka Leisure Park at around 7am on the 15th May, so it is worth booking in to either the Ashford Eureka Travelodge or the Ashford Eureka Premier Inn hotel for the 14th May so you can be there for the early start. Either hotel will do as they literally face each other in the Leisure Park. I have booked in to the Premier Inn at £39 a night, but either hotel will be fine as it is just 1 night. None Supras are welcome. Alex, whatever you have is fine, and Craig I'm sure you can find something bonkers to bring along.
  3. Watching this with interest as Adrian Flux want to talk to us about being the club insurer, but thats a different thread... I know Chris Mann left, not seen much activity from Sky since then.
  4. It was suggested we could wrap each panel in a stock colour and make it look like a harlequin car...
  5. Ahh, it all makes sense now. You and your Range Rover thread will be the death of us all. Feel free to stay Pinch, the chaps here can usually help with pretty much any car.
  6. okay, shifting this out to non supra technical to start...we can then all frown at it until we work out what it's doing here.
  7. This is in the technical section chaps, so lets focus on the problem...focus.
  8. Me too. Worst case I just nick the design from Bear's silver car and run that for a while if the tank buster livery above doesnt go down too well.
  9. So if nobody comes up with anything then I might just do this to it....
  10. I think it would certainly get a load of attention, and we get to play in the 2 tunnels. I will see if I can work it in to the routes without losing too much time.
  11. I'm still not completely sure I could get away with this, but I'm thinking about building this in to the Saturday afternoon route!! http://goo.gl/maps/FzbY9
  12. Costs are working out to around £245, that covers the Eurotunnel and the hotel with twin/double room including breakfast for 2 nights. Buffet is extra at £16 per person per night. So, 2 people sharing a twin room and having buffet for the 2 nights would be... £245+£64 (£16x4) = £309 1 person in a twin or double room with buffet 2 nights would be...£245+£32 = £277 On top of that you would need to cover your fuel (its about 600 miles so allow 3 tank fulls), your beer (its 2 nights so allow 2 skinfulls) and your lunches. Those costs are not final, but give you an idea.
  13. The plan is to meet at South Mimms for 2.30pm, leaving at 2.45pm on the dot. And for everybody meeting us at Mimms, I dont mean I say its time to go and suddenly everybody decides they need to buy a coffee or have a wee, I mean at 2.45pm we leave!! We will be going over the Dartford crossing, so people will need to sign up to the Dartford Cross charge system. It is also possible to make a one off payment without an account. Click on link below for all options: Click here: https://www.gov.uk/pay-dartford-crossing-charge Remember, if you'll be coming back via the tunnel before 10pm you'll need to pay again. More details closer to the date, but with FnF7 being released on the 3rd April, we are hoping to go see the film on Saturday 4th April. Might do some karting, a meal and a drive in to London too if I can sort it all out.
  14. That would be Easter Sunday and I have egg hunts to do with the kids!!
  15. Mrs Turtle wont like it.... but me, I would love to see a V8 again. Last one was the Chargespeed Supra.
  16. I was thinking of using Buckmore for the karting as I know they have a big old circuit, but happy to hand that part over to somebody else to manage. Not sure what showing we would get at Bluewater. We could go for a 4pm showing, then go karting at 7pm, and then London after the karting.
  17. So, FnF7 is released on the 3rd April 2015, I'm thinking we do the usual thing where we all go to the cinema to see it, more than likely on the 4th April 2015. So keep that date free folks!! The plan for the southerners is to do karting in the morning, then Bluewater for the film, then somewhere for a bit to eat and then a drive in to London for a cruise round.
  18. aaaaaaaand thats going to be ready for DB15 is it? Be great to see it if it is.
  19. We've had Renault Clio, Ford Focus and BMW power on the run, a Volvo will add nicely to the oddities that come along. We usually put big numbers on the car to make sure everybody knows it is with us. This year everybody gets a big orange number 15 for the rear screen. We ran them for DB14v2.0 in September and it was great to see all the cars with the number on them
  20. The dates are set, the hotel is booked, Eurotunnel know we are coming so we can start chatting about Dragonball 2015. Details thread in the National Events section, this thread is for the general chit chat that always goes with this event. Tickets go on sale in January, so time to save the pennies. Should be at least 40 spaces on Eurotunnel, I may even put a few extras in.
  21. Dates are now set for the Dragonball 2015 event. It will be 15th May to the 17th May 2015. Returning to Rotterdam. I will post up more details in here when I get them, but wanted everybody to have the date. Tickets go on sale in January so start saving those pennies.
  22. I would really like to do it, but the daily mileages would put me off a little so if they come down a lot I would be up for it. We have learnt over the years of Dragonball that people get as much fun doing 150 miles as they do 300 miles, it keeps the petrol costs down, people are less tired for the evening entertainment and they get time to stop and look at the scenery. I havent looked at the routes in a major way, but to cut down mileage I would potentially change the Thursday, Friday or Saturday hotel. Get as close to the Edinburgh car show as you can on the Saturday night so people can get up at a reasonable time on the Sunday, and maybe have the THursday hotel over towards the west coast, Friday is the lodges and Saturday close to Edinburgh. Not sure if that helps or just makes it more complicated, but it would be a great run no matter what.
  23. Not sure if it helps, but this is the mileage we did on Dragonball 2014 Friday - 158 miles Saturday - 132 miles Sunday - 141 miles Bearing in mind we started at 10am, stopped for 2 hours for lunch and finished around 5pm...it could be tricky putting in the big miles on the routes listed above. To avoid driving the cars in to the ground each day you may want to shorten it down a touch.
  24. May 15th 2015 we are coming to the Netherlands for the weekend, gives you a date to aim for to get the Supra!!
