  1. I would be interested in coming along for this if I can get away with it in my MKII..... I have used APT before, they did the pre conversion run on my car and I was not even a little bit impressed with the service to be honest. Ipswich is not to far though.
  2. Cheers for the suggestion, I will drop him a PM. Cheers,
  3. In the process of mating the air con pump on the 2j engine to the compressor in my MK2. I have been advised that I need the 2 pump end fittings and some of the length of metal pipe from a 2j system so that we can make up a joint between my existing pipework and the pump on the 2j. Does anyone have these bits from a system they have removed that they would be willing to sell or does anyone know where would be best to look for a scrapped car to get them from? Cheers, Mk2John.
  4. When I got a few quotes from Compare the Meerkat there were several companies that would insure me with N2O and Cry02 fitted to what is already a heavily modified car. I suppose the fact that I can still insure it as a classic with Carole Nash helps All the mods in my garage declared on the quote form and I can get fully comp for about £600.00 -£700.00 with 6 or 7 insurers on CTM. Carole Nash is £550.00 with an agreed value!
  5. I have a Blitz ASC unit that I am not using. It came with the wiring loom I bought for my engine conversion. I can pm a pic of what is there if you like? Cheers, John.
  6. Payment Sent, Cheers, Mk2John.
  7. I have a good 5 speed TT Manual Prop in my garage that is surplus to requirements. If it will suit your requirements you are welcome to it for £50
  8. I never saw the car they came from as the shell had been crushed. The breakers were in Luton I think. As mentioned the case is huge so I would think it is the US version as the j-spec items had the smaller casing? I have had an offer from a member here of £350 at the end of January for the complete package and have said that unless someone else can come up with the cash in the meantime they are his. Cheers, John.
  9. I have bought stuff from this seller before and he was very quick to get my exhaust bits sent out and they were packaged pretty well.
  10. No longer needed for project JZA61 so thought I would give them a go on here before trying e-bay. Parts came from what I believe to be an import 5 speed manual N/A (the diff is huge, which is why we gave up trying to shoehorn it onto the MKII) with 80,000 on the clock. All parts in good order, I am collecting them from West Sussex on Monday and they can then be collected from Norwich. 1 Diff. 1 Prop Shaft. 2 Drive Shafts. I would prefer to sell this lot together and am looking for £350 (I paid £400 for the above and then did not fit them)
  11. I have been using a bidding service in Japan for this purpose but the shipping restrictions they have in place mean that bidding on larger parts is either prohibitively expensive or impossible Japan is now the only place you can really source new parts for the MK2 so I will definately be signing up for this service [GRIN][/GRIN]
  12. pm sent, cash on way! Subject to Robert not having a prior arrangement?
  13. Mine is insured with Carole Nash and they are very good. Agreed insurance value etc. Premium is based on total BHP rather than individual modifications. My MK2 with the engine conversion and all the mods listed in my garage was £550.00 fully comp. I am quite old though
  14. Bid placed for Fuel Pressure Guage. [GRIN][/GRIN]
  15. P.M Sent regarding PHR Alternator and Plug Cover if still available. Cheers, John.
