  1. Can you move the front mount hole back a bit, draw a line horozontally fromt he bolt hole back and see how far along it you can drill a hole sensibly (without being too close to the edge). If you can get it far enough back to clear the wiper, do it and cut/smooth off the bit thats left sticking out. Shouldnt change the geometry either.
  2. Its a pretty flawed idea, as we all know most of the money in fuel goes to the government, leaving the likes of shell with about 20p per L. They arnt going to want to give any of that up for the sake of a few thousand motorists pledging to use their stations - they already do that in the form of optimax cards etc. Tesco offer 5p a L off, BUT its only if you spend £50 with them in store - so one way or another tey get their pound of flesh. I think the pipe line cards a dead duck, although id gladly be prooved wrong!
  3. Government dont seem to realise fuel costs have a direct affect on inflation. Pretty much everything we buy/use in our daily lives relys on fuel at some point, be it power for production or petrol for delivery. Fuels gone up about 20p in the last year (say 25% increase) Electricity/gas went up 15% last month, let alone the rest of the year, Foods on the increase, Houseing markets just stupid. And inflations running at 2.something % - yeah course it is! The UK is a sleeping giant, as a nation we take far too much on the chin with our stiff upper lips, but theres only so long you can kick a dog before even the most dosile ones bite back! Making this country a better place is not done by jacking the price of everything up, thats how we got here in the first place! Its done by beating teenages in hoodies and getting our priorities right. Token efforts to reduce CO2 emmisions - are not worth it when people in developed countries start starving because they cant afford food, or to heat their houses anymore. Please, an ounce of common sense from the government, just for a day!

  10. Heard somewhere even MS were thinking of using BR in the xbox... due to the capacity of BR over HD, or something like that? I know naaaathing about games consoles

  12. Had the misfortune to follow a bus recently? Last time i was in bristol i was parked up on a busy bus route for about 15 mins, nearly passed out due to the fumes they kick out - most of them were pretty empty as well, great for the environment and peoples health!
  13. Anywhere you cant drive to sensibly isnt worth worrying about.... Ive ventured into london about 6 times in my entire life (i live about 45 mins train ride from the centre!), 3 of those for work - i avoid it like the plauge, hellish place. I liked the way the Mayor said the charges were subject to change where small eco friendly cars were conserned.... Translation: we will get you out of your 4x4's and into prius's, then change our mind again and charge everyone £50 a day.....
  14. Straight six John Deere engine (6L Turbo)..... loads of torque and actually sound quite nice as well - kept me entertained all summer back when i worked on a farm
  15. Dont worry - i hope the fact you cant do over 112 wont be too much of an issue *cough* officer Shall we say meet half hour before the meet at PP?
  16. Ive used 1144's before, not in a supra mind. In the nissan they were very good though, deffinate upgrade from standard.

  18. He is a bit of a saint in human form, he gave me a Radiator when mine blew up just after i bought the car - he is my hero If you read this mate i still have the broken one if you want to work your magic on it and pass it onto another distressed soul!
  19. Nice... ive been looking at a bike as a slightly more sensible form of transport (fuel costs!). What size is it? let me know what the bike test is like. And dont kill yourself!
  20. Glad i took a double take and looked wher you are Bit far maybe!

    Petrol

My comments only covered performance cars, i didnt think many Aygo owners would read it and take note, ill rememebr to be more specific in future.

From experience, all imported SX's are mapped as standard to higher ron fuel - as thats the "norm" in japan (they run 1 bar of boost as standard and have different degree's of timing - something the uk ones cant do without SU). The norm over here is 95, which is what the UK ones are mapped to. So unless toyota either chose to ignore this difference in fuel, or fudged the maps in some way ill stick by my comments that jap cars should be run on higher ron fuel. At the end of the day, most of us dont drive like grannys, so should be using SU to be on the safe side, certainly so in the case of TT's. NA's youll get away with 95ron, but as has been said by a few owners previously - they run better on SU - possibly as its closer to what they were mapped for.
